From: Anthony Grandcastle URL: LoadSize.com Re: Acacia -------------------------------------- Monday, November 24, 2003 10:30 PM -------------------------------------- Hi - This letter is going out to all adult webmasters who downloaded the "tools" to customize and promote the Fr.ee adult ebook "Load Size": http://www.loadsize.com ----- Thanks to the recent Acacia DMT Patent controversy at: http://www.acaciatechnologies.com/te...t_adultent.htm Here's another link: ----- When Do Affiliates Need a License From Acacia? http://ynotnews.ynotmasters.com/issu...003/page5.html ... I have decided to leave the adult website business and close my http://www.loadsize.com site at the end of the month. This means that the Fr.ee "Load Size" adult ebook you may (or may not be) promoting to help build your own adult email list will no longer function come November 30, 2003. I'll keep my email address [email protected] active for a few more days in case you have questions. All the best, Anthony Grandcastle [email protected] Best of luck in whatever you decide to do now Anthony :thumbsup |
An eBook? They're sueing him because of an eBook?

Seeing webmasters leave this business because of Acacia really upsets me. I realize that the legal pressure may be tough but this form of threat that Acacia is conducting is nothing more than a legalized extortion method.
Best wishes to your future endeavours, let's hope Acacia's patent gets overturned soon enough... WG |
I dont look that hard, but All I see is a Video being given away...what the hell could acacia want with him???
please clarify.... |
I feel bad for that person, but if you're quitting because of Acacia, you probably weren't cut out for running a business.
Even when Acacia loses, there will be 100 more to take their place. |
Acacia is about to contact all geocities homepage owners that link to videos in order to seek damages due to patent infringement

Umm, that article on Ynotnews is straight from Acacia. I would not make business decisions based on Acacia's opinions.
IMHO, if you do not have streaming media on any domain you own, give them the big middle finger. Your are a marketting company, not a seller. You are paid commissions for sales, you are NOT the content provider or first party seller. they can try to stretch things left and right, but in reality, they need to show where my links to a site with video content is different from a paid yahoo listing. Until then can do that, they can kiss my white ass. As a side note, they mailed me (in Canada) to two names that have never EVER been affiliated with my company at any time. I swear they are just pulling shit out of their asses now. They will be getting a reply letter from me. "show my my infringements, show me case law, and if you don't have both, suck me." - but in nicer more legal terms. :-) Alex |
Fiesta! All this time and you *finally* made me laugh!! I knew you had it in you...
