Do you really need one if you only have one Internet connected device? I bought LINKSYS, 3 computers and X-Box.

yeah he's using linksys too, just wanted an opinion before I buy one.

My friend is just a single home user too and he says theres constant attempts to get into his machine and that it's made his surfing faster because the router relieves a lot of work the computer doesn't have to do anymore.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

Linksys is made by cisco. The best for home use. Ive had some trouble with the wireless would stick to the cable.

Linksys is the bomb for little 2-4 box networks. Get the print server / router / switch....Defiantely worth it in the long run when have more than 1 box and wanna share printers with all

Linksys is NOT a cisco product. That being said, I prefer the Dlink over the shitty linksys stuff anyday.

get the netgear. the linksys can be a pain in the ass since you can not disable its built in firewall for some applications

I have a Cisco, it works for me, never needed anything else. Easy to manipulate ports etc. etc...
