... and my damn Dodgers will fuck around deciding who owns the team, miss every free agent and end up with my left nut playing first base in 2004... :feels-hot

Milwood could also go to the Red Sox but not sure if teh Schilling thing definately happens (They'll have all right handed starters though)
Nov. 24 -- The Phillies made an offer to Millwood, according to a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer, though the right-hander could still be a long way off from a return to Philadelphia. He is also reportedly eyeing the White Sox and Red Sox. The Phillies would prefer to retain Millwood, since they're reluctant to surrender draft picks if they sign another team's free agent. A plausible scenario could be offering him salary arbitration by the Dec. 7 deadline. If he accepted, he would be signed for another year, likely earn about $12 million, then be a free agent again after next season. In essence, he'd allow himself the opportunity to have an improved 2004 season and increase his market value. This was the same strategy employed by Greg Maddux -- Millwood's former teammate and a fellow Scott Boras client -- last year.
