member wants a refund
 

One of my users just sent me this:

I would like to cancel my subscription and get a full refund. I was unaware that I would be billed for the entire amount all at once and not in monthly payments. Also I found the site to not be what I thought it would be. I did not enjoy it at all.

I know its a blatent attempt to get a refund, and if I dont it will just result in a chargeback anyways.
But this is pure bullshit.
1-he was unaware he would be billed the full amount right away??? Im not leasing cars here for fuck sakes.
2-I guess when the signup form said "you will be billed $8.95 U.S. for a 7 day trial" meant what????
3-what did you think it the site would be? The 6 page tour was not a hint?
This sounds like a classic scheme from one of those tutorial websites on how to get free memberships.

How should I reply to this??? I know how I would like to reply!

Refeund him, But get his e-mail on as many spam lists as you can.

Give him/her the refund.
It's not worth going to war over.
It sucks, but unfortunately, that's how this biz can be at times.

Dude, better take the hit now than take it up the ass from the credit card company later. Ask around, the card company usually (not all the time) takes the side of the consumer. The merchant usually just gets bent over.:(

i get stuff like that all the time. Those are always the guys that when i check thier logs to see how much they are in the members section..they are always in there like 4-5 hours a day...bloodsucking shitfaces
And i have a few guys who mail me a cahiers check or money order once a month..and those are the guys that go in only once every 3-4 days or so..after going through all the trouble to mail in

get him 500 magazine subscriptions, order pizzas to his house... Oh, and what they said...

then have some fun.

refund him and then send him a bill with the site title on it for each mg of content downloaded.

after all those downloads are only available for PAYING members, and he opted to not be one.

i would also guess whether there is quality content in ur site.

Um, it may be just a shot in the dark here, but why not ask him what he was expecting from the site and didn't find in the members area? Offer him a free 30 days if he can help you go through your tour to make it more representative of your members area. Then you get a) a fan, b) a happy customer c) a better tour based on real surfer feedback.

Then if he insists on the refund, at least you know you tried.

call him a stupid bitch that has a crack whore for a mother and a freeway-exit begger for a father......
