Suspected Cheater
 

Hi fellow Webmasters,

I need somebody to verify or disprove the following cheating suspicion by CollegeSucks.com, http://www.CollegeSucks.com, who seems to inflate his referrer hits on WebHoe.com?s ?Top Boners? referrer list - http://webhoe.com/top_boners/index.html, using a popup window.

I first noticed the cheating I am about to describe this morning, when I cleaned out all my cookies.

CollegeSucks.com seems to be using a forced popup window going to WebHoe to boost his rating, which maybe explains why his site is number #1 on that "Top Boners" list.

Note this is NOT happening all the time, but I have experienced it several times using a link provided to me as one of his link traders, example my link is http://www.collegesucks.com/clickin.php?linkid=531.

This link he is providing does NOT always go to the same area within his site, sometimes it goes to a subpart of his top list, other times to his "Directory" area, where when I then click on one of those areas a popup window to Webhoe.com is opening!

It seems to happen more if you clear your cookies and redial your Internet connection.

So if there is somebody on this board who has joined CollegeSucks.com top referrers, maybe they could test this.

He's not cheating you bro! His referrer script takes you to a different place depending on if the link was referenced from a website or email. If you just clicked on the link from an email or typed it in, it doesn't count the click and sends you somewhere else. If you clicked on the link from a site, it'll take you to the toplist.

Yeah, you and me both! I wonder how many free t-shirts I've been promised and never received in this industry over the years. I bet its over 20.

Who is calling ME a cheater? -lol. The only people that cheat are those that can't realize that doing good business with others will make you more $$$. Those that cheat are fucking themselves over. After all, it is ALL about the bling-bling :-).

My site works like this...

1) I can set where a visitor enters my site and I do this by looking at where visitors come from.

2) 99% of my trades will never see a popunder because they don't want them. There are a few sites that will allow me to use popunders, and so I do so.

3) Most of the time I sell my popunders, there are times that I don't and I send them to trades that allow it. I may also send to people who I feel need a kick start for their site.

You're just going to have to wait until I get more in. I also have to get more advertisers to pay for the next batch.
