What Sponsor Definitely Does NOT Shave?

Calling all experienced webmasters, what sponsors have you worked with for years and know for a fact do NOT shave?

Likewise, what sponsors are you convinced do shave everyone?

Although I don't think you can easily prove whether or not a sponsor shaves, I'm pretty confident that WEGCash doesn't shave.

Turboface 11-24-2003 01:17 AM

From the horrible stats I've seen posted from ARS in the past, I'm sure they're not shaving anyone.

:2 cents:

Matt 26z 11-24-2003 01:18 AM

Nobody here is guilty of shaving, don't you know that boy?

No shave software in AdultPlatinum

JulianSosa 11-24-2003 01:19 AM

Who cares if they shave. Its about the most money on the check at the end of the week.. I would send all my traffic to shave cash if they paid $100 a trial, converted at 1:100 and shaved half :)

Jimbo 11-24-2003 01:19 AM

shaving is usefull when you're hairy

so you'd rather not be defruaded and make less money than be defrauded and make more money?

An affiliate can never really know if a sponsor shaves, obviously the sponsor is the only one in the know. :glugglug

Yeah, wegcash isnt bad. I believe they have an honest program. I send my traffic to other sponsors though because as I understand it, they only pay you for your U.S. traffic, so either you filter all your foreign traffic or it just gets wasted straight into their dialer (which you dont get payed for).

kmanrox 11-24-2003 03:00 AM

vidcash.com doesnt i know

anybody paying over $35 a PPS *is* shaving, I dont care what they say.... to be honest, i believe anyone paying over $30 a join is shaving, but not like the over 35$ group...

IMO

They pay for more than just US traffic.
They don't pay for the following traffic:
Afghanistan, Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Cayman Islands, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kaliningrad, Kazakhstan, Korea (North and South), Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Moldova, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tobago, Trinidad, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Yemen, Yugoslavia.

You can easily redirect that traffic somewhere else.

They're currently in the process of working out a way to split the dialer income with us, like CE Cash does.

How about a list of sponsors that do 100% shave.

I certainly know we don?t shave.

Broda 11-24-2003 03:12 AM

Well, if you're looking for a program that does NOT shave, first step is to stay clear of ccbill programs.

CCbill shaves bad, maybe not deliberately, but the tracking methods they use are totally out-of-date and so unreliable that you're probably loosing ~30% of your traffic when promoting something ccbill. One can only imagine how many sales you loose ;)

Some programs make up for that by paying you 70% instead of the 50% most programs pay and I strongly suggest that if you don't want to fell cheated, don't use a ccbill program paying less than 60% AND that covers all processing fees. Why? Because you're actually GIVING the program owner approx 30% of all you sales.

You send x amount of signups.

Sponsor credits you with x * n amount of signups,
where n = percentage of signups they will credit you with.

Ex.)

x = 15 signups sent
n = 80%

shave = 15 * 80% = 12 signups credited

:glugglug

Ga_ozzie 11-24-2003 04:37 AM

Just came across this thread looking for something else. But, just wanted to add that I know for a fact, http://www.lightspeedcash.com does not shave!

Also, read the comment about ARS....I know, I've gotten 1/60 with them

AphEX 11-30-2003 12:51 AM

we dont shave
neXpectation

gin 11-30-2003 12:55 AM

don't you get it already? it's not shaving.. it's selective sign ups.. no credit for checks .. no credit for phone 2 enter.. no credit for popups.. then cookie tracking so there goes another about 10%.. or redirecting all foreign traffic to dialers.. so it's not called "shaving" it's selective sign ups.. and most do it

Paul Markham 11-30-2003 12:55 AM

The only way to do this is by the number of hours/ moneyspent and the money you get back. You can sign up to a crappy program that pays little and shave nothing and you earn nothing.

Or a good paying program, awesome sites, good pay outs, great conversion, but pays for all that by shaving you. But in the end you earn more money.

3rd party processors can be a problem, nothing is to stop them shaving or losing where the sign up came from. Funny how the software loses where the guy came from but not the sign up. Guess it's not in their interest to get it right.

Bottom line is, the money that goes into your pocket.
