GEORGE Bush's administration has called on US companies in Britain to relocate jobs to America in an astonishing move that could trigger a major trade war.

US-based multinationals have been told they will receive compensation from American trade authorities if they cancel contracts in Britain and take jobs home, according to CBI director-general Digby Jones.

BRISK 11-22-2003 10:40 PM

What is CBI?

I won't bother to look at the link, but if you aren't an American, why the fuck do you care? Is your life that meaningless? And if you ARE an American, which I doubt, do you need a fucking nutsack transplant? Bet you never served a day of your fucking life in the Armed Services did ya nancy boy?

theking 11-22-2003 10:50 PM

Typical misleading BS that is frequently posted by you...a brainless troll.

From the article.

"The ALLEGATIONS"...are "according to CBI director-general Digby Jones."...as he claims was told to him by "Three chief executives of American companies investing in Britain have told me to my face that they have been told to close down, bring their stuff home and make it in the US."...out of "an estimated 5,700 US companies operating" in Great Britain.

Not a single mention of the President saying anything. If you are going to be a troll and lie...at least make it somewhat plausible.

I think he's hoping for dumbfuck of the year, or at least the sorriest nick of the year. Someone must be seriously bored and out of Old Milwaukee beer...

BRISK 11-22-2003 10:55 PM

I gotta say, that article is rather weak proof of Bush saying that.

Also, the CBI Director guy says that the UK is America's biggest trading partner, he's wrong, the UK is actually America's 4th largest trading partner.

How is that weak? Is being tired of pussbags bashing someone because of their country that they rely on weak? Is bashing someone because their currency relies on the US and then trashing the US is weak? Is it because the flavor of the week is trashing the US and I think they're shitbags is weak? Please elucidate.

I have next to NO tolerance for someone who has done NOTHING not only for this world let alone themselves. If you fall into this category, and most of you do,please feel free to Fuck Right Off.

That's a real great way to treat America's biggest supporter throughout the Iraq conflict.

It's no wonder the world hates America now.

I would say GWB's handling of the Us economy is so bad that anything he advised would be laughed at by businessmen.

Think for a minute why the US companies are in the UK. They could be there because it provides access to the EU market from a country that shares the same language. The companies are not there to manfacture goods, the days of the UK being a big manufacturing base are long gone.

So if he takes US companies out of the UK he hurts their access to the EU and the US economy.

Get rid of this clown before you start worrying about which hours you are allowed to be out of your homes. According to your General, it will take one more attack to see military law to replace constitution. Biatchhh

Rinaldo 11-23-2003 02:57 AM

Hey guys before you go insane... bush clears everything with anyone important in England and all other countries we do trade with or are allied with in any way ... before he announces things... dont worry it isnt a big deal... it's probably becuase he needs their expertise / money flowing into the economy or becuase there's operatives that need to be pulled out

JamesK 11-23-2003 03:17 AM

It would be America's prerogative to do what it wishes regardless of the events of WWII. Just as it's Britain's prerogative to do what it wishes.

I'm surprized that has 'no 1 trading partner' cos we make just about fuckall in England now :) Guess it depends how you define trade, if it included monetary goods, I.E. investment, insurance etc. maybe.

Anyways, it's irrelevant. Short term gain for Bush's reelection campaign (if anything comes of it at all, which I doubt), nice push closer to Europe for the UK in the slightly longer term. Mmmm, might help the Euro army come a step closer :)

BigPinPin 11-23-2003 09:51 AM

vote for bush next time again and your country will be the enemy #1 in the whole world. He is a child, what has now everything to play with. Dangerous........for the whole world (USA included)

It's not all about manufacturing things anymore. For example: the UK has the world's largest mobile phone company. They don't really "make" anything, they just provide a service, but that service happens to be worth about $48 Billion a year. :glugglug
