the lyrics are hot as hell too
It's my life - it's my pain and my struggle The song that I sing to you it's my ev-ery-thing Treat my first like my last, and my last like my first And my thirst is the same as - when I came It's my joy and my tears and the laughter it brings to me It's my ev-ery-thing |
Jay-Z new's album is one of the greatest albums this year no doubt
All the great songs like Justify my thug , moment of clarity they all rock. |
i'll have it downloaded from kazaa in less than 30 seconds...lets see wassup
|
the beat eminem produced is sick as shit moment of clarity
right up his alley |
Beware of the boys - great tune.
|
<--- copping it now :thumbsup
|
while we talk about great albums, why is Kid Rock's album so mellow?:(
|
you should all kill yourselves
nas is the king! :1orglaugh :thumbsup |
Isn't Jay-Z that sellout bitch of a rapper that's too busy with his buddy trying to sell clothes and vodka rather than make real music. Sure it might sell to the MTV kiddies or 106 & Park but Jay-Z hasn't been real hip hop for a long time now. Go back and pull the old shit like Can't Knock the Hustle and then compare it to this pussy watered down shit he's been doing for 3 or 4 albums now and it's not near the same thing.

his shit is toooo watered down |

how many hiphoppers does it take to change a lightbulb? 3. one to change the lightbulb and the other two to argue how the old one was better. |
If you love the Jay-Z then you're really gonna love that new Ja Rule.
:1orglaugh |
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh
eventhough i love the oldschool rappers more, there are a few good ones out there now. it all depends on your perspective. just because jay sold more albums, and so did eminem, nas is still the greatest lyricist out there today |

I know I can Be what I wanna be! Must be your theme song. Nas blows. |
Quote:
nas IS tight dont get me wrong i vote black star(t kweli and mos def) as being some excelent ass wordsmiths without being encumbering the key isnt to string 12901390 multisyllabic words together to be a great mc less is more its about painting a picture and pictures tell 1000 words |
Nas started getting watered down to, they almost all do when they see the MTV money. They flash a little of that radio and MTV play money in your face and next thing you know your tough gangster ass is chillin with Carson Daly and 150 15 year old white girls screaming as you rap a love song for the nation. Money makes a bitch out of many men.
I'm still gonna pump my old school UGK shit so the sellouts can get the hellout. |
Ja Rule should be locked up just for being him. What a complete idiot.
When i see his videoclip i always get the feeling that im watching a documentary on Discovery about cavemen. Grunt grunt bitchezzzzz grunt bling bling grunt bitch! |
Quote:
as for the i know i can song, he was trying to do something positive for the community(eventhough it was lame) i didn't say nas was perfect:1orglaugh |

anyone else goin to the Jay-Z & Friends concert at MSG on Tuesday? I got some cheap seats but atleast ill be there :)
|
Wu-Tang Clan!!
|
The new Jay Z is wack as hell. It's not at the level it's supposed to be. Dead Presidents beats it. That's a damn shame at this stage in the game for Hov. We should be seeing a masterpiece instead of a piece of shit.

fuck jay-z, fuck all that commercialized "rap"
real hip hop = necro, ill bill, atmosphere, apathy, akrobatik, people under the stairs, jedi mind tricks, swollen members, demigods, copywrite, etc. the list goes on |

anticon/atmosphere and their camp is alright but some of their shit is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY the fuck out there. most of that underground shit is fucking stupid(obviously, to each his own) but it seems like they pick the longest words in the dictionary and misuse them in stretches of punchlines in an attempt to sound clever. the real key to music is the universality - backpackers and self-important purveyors of hiphop believe they are God's gift to language. granted, an intelligent intejection of a witty quip is welcome here and there, but if you don't make fucking sense then it boils down to you being a moron. knowing your audience is the key to success - i can talk computer shit with my computer friends but i switch gears when i'm talking to my buddies laying HVAC or my buddies fixing planes or whatever. these people wonder why they aren't big, time and time again reiterate how they don't like sellouts, when all they secretly wish is that they too could ride around in escalades with spinnahs ya heard /rant |
fuck man, i just formatted this thing and have no music
thanks. |
#6 on the album bumps hard as fuck if you have a system.
|
I'm just, tryin to stay above water y'know
Just stay busy, stay workin Puff told me like, the key to this joint The key to staying, on top of things is treat everything like it's your first project, knahmsayin? Like it's your first day like back when you was an intern Like, that's how you try to treat things like, just stay hungry |
You're a fuckin bunch of wiggers
wiggers wiggers wiggers :glugglug |

Fuck all that mainstream rap shit. They are only rapping to satisfy MTV and groupie kids. I like the lyricist who tell it real, who rap for sport and drop sick rhymes. I listen to alot of oldschool, westcoast and midwest underground.. and cant forget that dirty south.
