Anyone else get that email? How do you think that will go over? Should clean out a lot of the trash I guess.

Dear gallery maker,

There are many cheaters these days changing their galleries
after we have listed them. You all know what I mean, popups,
dialers, trojans, and more nasty hidden stuff.

We have tried to fight them for a long time by blacklisting
their domains, IP's and IP-ranges. It works, but just for short
times since the cheaters seem to have thousands of domains and
change IP's almost daily. The worse is that honest submitters
who may have the same IP caused by IP-sharing of their ISP,
or have an IP in a blacklisted IP-range, are not able to submit
anymore too and get a message that their domain has been
blacklisted. It can not be accepted that honest webmasters
are dupe of these criminals.

This is why we now introduce the EasyPic submitpass. A submitpass
is a loginname and password that can be used to submit your
galleries to EasyPic. Everyone can get a submitpass for one year
and only people with a submitpass will be able to submit.

With a submitpass you can submit up to 10 galleries every day,
with a limit of 2 per category. Payment for the submitpass is
accepted only by PayPal or ePassporte. Nobody without submitpass
will be able to post galleries anymore. Also the current
"trusted submitters'" will need a submitpass. A submitter
catched cheating will immediately lose his submitpass and will
not be able to submit anymore without getting a refund.
And since his PayPal or ePassporte account is known he won't be
able to get another submitpass anymore.

We are going to release all domains and IP's and remove them all
from our blacklist. In fact we won't need a blacklist anymore.
This means that if your domain was blacklisted in the past you will
be able to submit from it again. This also means that everybody gets
a second chance. So if you cheated in the past and regret, you can turn
over a new leaf now.

We will start this new system within a few days and we are
convinced that it is the final solution against cheating.

* You can submit up to 10 galleries daily.
* Your galleries will be listed guaranteed the very next day.
* All domains will be accepted again, no blacklisting anymore.
* EasyPic traffic will even become much more valuable since
surfers experience no cheating anymore.
* One year 10 galleries a day for only $100 = $0.027 per submitted
gallery. Where can you get cheaper guaranteed galleryspots?
* If you purchase your submitpass before the 1th of December it
will be valid until 1-1-2005, so you get one month free.
* The usual submitpage will be closed in a couple of days.

Well admittedly I just skimmed over it since I don't do much in the way of TGP posting anymore, but basically the email was complaining about cheaters and described a new method of approving gallery submitters. Sounded like a one time fee of $100.

There's no mention of it on the Easypic site yet though.

I got a few emails from him, and for $100 a year, that is pretty damn reasonable . . . my only question is, okay, you can submit up to 10 galleries a day, but is this a guarantee that they will get listed?

And 100 bucks is nothing for a year...if you cant make that back then you really must be doing something wrong.

Andre likes to blacklist totally honest webmasters like myself and others according to what I've seen on multiple boards. Then he refuses to respond to multiple emails or provide any explanation whatsoever.....

Hummm, some jalousy in the air... Its hard not to hate someone that as blacklisted you in the past and who's making 20k in a couple of days.


For myself, I dont have much money. I'm still beggining here and I simply can't affort that $100 offer. Is it really worth it? Can someone assure me that its worth it?

all i can say the guy is a genius. using a negative (cheaters) and turning it into a huge profit for himself. maybe the cheaters thing is just an excuse, but it sounds legit enough that most people who can afford it, will do it.

I think it is a cool idea. If you cant make $100 back off of over 3600 gallery listings, you just suck ass.

And I'll stand by comments. He is the only TGP
webmaster that has blacklisted me, after a year
and half of submissions without issues, and then
failed to respond to three emails asking for ONE example
of where I broke his fucking rules.

I've been blacklisted by several others in the past,
and after an exchange of info, it was determined there
was an issue with a script or reviewer. Most are at least
willing to discuss things.

The paid gallery submitter thing is hardly an original idea,
I done it with Nelvac on Thumbzilla which IMHO has much
better traffic.

A guess would be simply too many galleries on there - last time I looked there were a LOT. Other than that his traffic must have dropped.

Stramm, you are a bit spiled by the fact you have a lot of your own quality traffic.

Not everyone can feed themselves what you can. another 1k/day is that much closer to the 25k or 50k they need to generate the joins they expect.

And maybe some categories pull better clicks than others.

I think its a bargain myself. I do quite well with Easypic's traffic only submitting 2 per day on the trusted status, let alone 10.

10 guaranteed galleries per day, even if you only get 500 hits per gallery, that's 5000 hits per day. Over 1.5 Millions gallery hits per year. For $100, that's a real good deal...

Anyone get the rules mailed to them yet? I want to start making some galleries, but have never posted there before. It says 8 thumbs per page. Is this going to still be the min number? Any info would be appreciated!

I pay $20 a month to get one gallery a day listed at gorillalinks.

I pay 30something a month to submit 2 a day to Dr Bizarro.

This is super cheap and thanks to all the cheaters out there this is the way the gallery business is going.
You used to have to pay to get into the top 10, now you're going to have to pay to get anything.

All businesses evolve and change, you can work to stay ahead of the curve or you can go work at McDonald's.

The email I got said nothing about any rules change. Andre's rules have been virutally the same since I first saw them several years ago, what makes you think they will change?

I have had around 20-30 gallerys listed on easypic and never made one sale :2 cents: ( btw the gallerys have made money else where )
