yes, it's more for noise. but i get my work done always. i'm not glued to it.

same here ..i was actually just wondering how many people have it on so they can post news flashes on GFY :1orglaugh

nope. can't concentrate with it on. have always been this way - couldn't listen to music when i was studying in school either.

tv is my friend

na but i got one close enuff where if i hear somethin worth a damn i can get up to check it out

i dont want anything that close to me working that is such a distraction

i just use my tv for background noise. so the room isnt silent... i hardly ever watch it

I used to, and I would leave it on all day on CNN.

It was mostly a distraction, a couple of times the whole company came and watched it in my office, ie. sept 11th, olympic hockey etc...


I don't have one in my office anymore though

Had one for a while then took it out.

I had in my office in another state, now that I moved I don't.

we put a plasma tv in the reception, really get some good comments from it!

Exactly...noise only.

I'll leave on CNN or something...if I'm working real late at night I mught turn on Nick...and if there is a basketball game on I'll put that on.

But I can't sit here and actually watch movies or anything because it does disturb my work. Kinda hard to write text for galleries etc when you're trying to follow a story.

I don't leave it on all day long. Usually I turn it on first thing in the morning when I start working and keep an eye on the news.

Being that they all just repeat themselves non-stop until the next big event I have to turn it off after a couple of hours and then I play music most of the day...and my music is kinda the same way.

I try to play stuff that won't get into my head as I'm trying to write text etc.

the reason that i originally asked this was becuase so many people post news shit here (IE: NEWSFLASH duck gets hit by car in Kalamazoo Michigan.....)

Yes, but we only watch movies or cartoons no cable or sattelite at the office
