Day#5
It's Day 5 Still smoke free, STILL sick but nothing like I was the last 3 days. I think I got it beat, EVEN though I would love to put a cig to my lips light it and draw in the deepest darkest breath of smoke and hold it within my lungs till I pass out.... BUT my 7 year old is so happy and my 4 year old, they been on my ass since my 7 year old learned it could kill you.... Just thought I would say hi im smoke free... hahah :helpme

The whole key of stopping with smoking is to stand behind the fact that you want to quit.
I smoked 3 years long, 1 pack a day. All of a sudden, on a sundaymorning when i was coughing my loungs out i realised it was because of the smoking. Never smoked a sigarette since then, and that was 2 months ago or something... Good luck bro! And if you wanna talk about it, hit me up on icq, i know some talk that will help you stay off of smokin' ;) |

Congrats man! :thumbsup
The hardest part is the first 2-3 days after that its just your mind and the habit of putting the cig in your mouth 20 times a day. Takes a while for that part to go away but the withdrawls are over for good now at least! Good Luck! You and your kids will be much happier & healthy now! |

sounds like you're doing great. stick with it - next week you will feel like a whole new person. Try not to forget how crappy it made you feel to quit - and use that feeling to keep you from ever lighting up again.

Lifesavers and their double meaning. lol Keeps people form going crazy when they quit smoking and dentists making their big paychecks afterwards. :(
Luck Tom! :) |
I used the patch, worked really well. :thumbsup

The easiest part was the first 2-3 days, now on day 5 myself and I am going fucking nuts. I tried those non cigarettes to get rid of the cravings while I quit and those were the nastiest things and killed my throat (Quest Level 3). |

1. Cough like a motherfucker all day 2. Get stabbing chest pains 3. Lose your sense of smell so a McBurger smells like fine cuisine and a little bit like your ashtray also because so do you 4. Constantly out of breath. 5. Chained to your cigarettes 6. Spend anywhere from $5-$10 a day 7. Etc. fucking etc |

" Some beliefs or statements made by smokers sound irrational, as if they have a real death wish. Often, there is really nothing wrong with the person - it is a drug effect. Fear of withdrawal or of being unable to cope with life without cigarettes results in a defense mechanism to justify dependency. Once off smoking these excuses simply disappear, leaving a physically and psychologically healthier individuals who will have a good chance of remaining this way by following one simple procedure - NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PUFF!" http://whyquit.com/joel/Joel_01_03_self_dest.html |
