Gamma World was pretty cool. They are supposed to be working on a new version thats going to come out soon.

I loved AD&D and our group was saddened with the release of 3.0. Of course, the group is split up now but one fellow player wants to get back into it but with 3.5. He wants to drag me back in but I don't want to buy the new rules. Besides there is a rumor going around the D&D 4.0 is coming out soon.

I just found a box of books and dice in my garage a couple weeks ago.

4.0 won't be out for at least 4-5 years. 3.5 is a great system. Plus you can pick up all the 3.5 rule books for 60 bucks off of walmart.com.

Look on ebay, some of those old books are worth some money now.

LOL...I still have my dice bag a few feet from my bed. I never went crazy with loads of dice like our Dungeon Master did. He had dozens of dice bags full and had ever AD&D book every made.

I hate the fact they got rid of Planescapes Al-Qudim and Darksun my three favriot campaigns :feels-hot

I know WAY too many people that went apesite collecting dice. How about 120 dollars for a set of dice? Check this out

Planescape was the shit. I loved their big box sets.

Call me a nerd, but OMG those sterling silver dice are fuckin' sweet. I'd buy 'em if I were still playing.

DM's always had to have extra sets of dice, someone always forgot theirs or there was a new person hanging around and with a pre-made character and an extra set of dice they were part of the quest!

Still have all of my books and dice, too. AD&D here.
And Magic The Gathering... yummy. Still have all of my cards and mana counters for that (pewter counters).

Got a demo of the Xbox version of MtG at GameSpot - it fucking sucks. I was *so* disappointed.

Ever play WarHammer? It was an actual tabletop rpg played on a 4x8 set that usually took months to make if you made the landscape realistic.

I played Warhammer once. Another good one was Harn.
