kickass ill have to check it out.. who is fighting in the main event?

Steve 11-21-2003 10:28 PM

dammit, Tank lost AGAIN

and WTF were they thinking, putting Rizzo vs Rodrieguez on the prelim section of the card?

Sosa 11-22-2003 12:57 AM

THat's like 3 or 4 times in a row that Tank has lost.

ModelPerfect 11-22-2003 01:03 AM

I never thought Tank had that great a record anyway: he's just mouthy and makes his wins look good, so he stands out.

Steve 11-22-2003 02:58 AM

Tank is now 8-10 in UFC :(

I know he's not awesome, he never trains for cardio, and he hasn't worked on submissions - but I enjoy watching the guy. I love his "knock him out or get knocked out" attitude. He doesn't pussy foot around in there - it's right down to business.

Tank was in good shape (for Tank) tonight. Down to a svelte 253, and had some definition in the shoulders/traps

Too bad that Cabbage kid had some wicked Mu Thai knees. I just hope Tank doesn't have to retire. I'd love to see him against a few more guys.

ModelPerfect 11-22-2003 04:10 AM

Yeah, he's not much of a strategy or technical fighter, to say the least. More the straight in, toe-to-toe, slug-fest, "hope I give more than get" kind of fighter. Fun to watch, but not that impressive from a technical standpoint. He's got a seriously strong jab, though...I have to admit., and his knockouts are usually pretty intense. But if he doesn't win in the first minute, he probably won't at all. It's kind of like grappling a wrestler: the first 3 minutes can be hell, but after that, it's a cake-walk.

Matt Hughes (Welterweight Champion) is simply phenomenal and as of right now, simply unbeatable. This was his 5th defence of his title.
