I usually just go to the post office.

I know lyris seems to be a good software but also expensive.
What other option are available?

anyone using directemailer.com ?

Madball 11-20-2003 11:53 AM

Fred, apart from lyris, check out acmelist.com and robomail.us. Looking at Directemailer right now.

I took the quick tour on directemailer, will contact them with a few questions I have. Acmelist looks pretty similar to it, both look like you can reach a high level of automation which is my #1 priority.

Robomail I believe has a lease option, might be a little more economical. The customers they're looking for are more of a corporate size it seems.

Anybody have any experience with the Platinum Mailer (except for PB of course)?

are you sure robomail has a leasing option? I thought you had to pay it outright. It's not much anyway only 7k for the standard version and 11,500 for the pro one

robomail sucks from what iv heard.

ironport looks nice but i dunno how much they want for.

every other mailer listed on here iv never heard anything good about, most of them iv heard negative about.

if you want something done right, do it yourself. hire a coder to get it done the right way.

i have bad ass mailing software, and iv been creating one i plan to sell. but no way in hell would i sell you all the secrets iv learned in creating my own. the standard issue would not be as good as the one i use. mainly because no one would pay the price.

no one would sell thier secrets for cheap. or an application that really gets the mail out for cheap, considering how much money is in mail. its like college, sure it doesnt REALLY cost that much to teach kids, but you have to keep the supply low to keep the demand up. not everyone can have a PhD. just like not every stupid fucker who thinks he wants to bank from sending mail should have bad ass mailing software.

stick to what you know, if your looking at canned software your already fucked.

i can do the mailing for a copy of the list
anyone having good opt-in list can contact me at [email protected]

You'd be surprised at how much money it costs to keep a faculty running.
