Google - The day after
So what happened? In my case I am up in my desired keywords cos most of my competitors have disappeared. However it seems that Google traffic as a whole is way down.
Any enlightened theories? You will not win an Ipod or Xbox by posting in this thread. |
What makes you think current results are final? I'd almost put money on it they aren't.

With one of my sites that I had just submitted I went way up for a few days (receiveing a very ncie amount of targetted traffic) and than today I fidn out I have been totally dropped. When I look on www.googlerankings.com for the keywords I was getting the traffic from, I am no where to be seen.

I think they have more stuff planned personally.

Think ya need to give it some more days for that question to be answerd.

Not sure that google is quite settled in either. It's strange, I'm thinking they may have pulled off a spam filter to see where it's coming from because I am seeing a lot of spamed pages getting through.
In the past, Google Guy and other seo boards suggest that google does this to allow spam to surface, then it is usually disposed of after a few days. I would hope that is the case, because there is some real crap getting into places. As far as listings go, mine seem up and down in the SERPS along with my PR going between 5 and Grey Bar. In anycase, no worries. The listings I care about are in the same place they were a year ago. |

There is no understanding the eternal dance.
Only one thing can be concluded... Traffic no longer will goto concentrated sources thus diviserfying the playing field or in some eyes... Leveling it for honest work and submissions. I think we all know thats been kind of googles intention for some time now. |
