Okay, I know I'll get a lotta funny comments but this shit is serious...

I hadn't heard from a former co-worker in yearsss. I thougt she was doin' okay in Arizona all retired. Came to find out some asshole doctor fucked up a routine operation and when she found out and got upset they had her shipped to a psychiatric hospital against her will! Just to shut her up. They tried to correct the surgery and fucked it up a second time!

Needless to say she wasn't in communcation because se was under protection of the court til they caught the doctors responsible and put foot to their asses.

She told me about how tons of people end up fucked up around psychiatrists. Didn't know they could pull you off the street and lock you up or toss you in jail if you don't give your kids pscychiatric drugs and other medicines.

WTF???

I've never been to a shrink but EVERYONE I ask about them hates their guts with abandon!

Umm psychiatrists really shouldnt be doing operations in the first place let alone given a second chance.

You also do have a legal right to refuse any medications unless you end up with a proven track record for violence against others, otherwise the jail time is a lil on the BS side of things.

Lastly as my smart ass comment, why are you believing someone who just got out of the looney bin in the first place?

A psychiatrist doesn't perform 'routine operations' so they were protecting a surgeon?

A surgeon and a psychiatrist in cahoots? Those two specialties generally have no respect for each other, and nothing to do with each other. I doubt a psychiatrist would just commit someone because the surgeon fucked up an operation..

More likely she's had delusions of persecution, delusions that the operation was fucked up, and she got committed.

The psychiatristgs didn't perfor the operation, they psychiatrtists were called in AFTER the surgeoons fucked up and the patient complained. They knew they were looking at a lawsuit andtried to stash her away in a psychaiatic ward to shut her up but it FAILED.

So for several years she has been in lititgation and won. From what I gather from her, this has been a common practice that to shut up a troublemaker or a whistleblower the powers that be shove you off to a psych ward, label you crazy and hope that settles it

I've known two paranoid schizophrenics. Let me tell you, they could tell anyone a believable story about how they were "set up". Both people were women, and both were really smart girls.

They were both very messed up, emotionally and mentally. I would believe any PHD over someone under their care. The system ISN'T out to get them, as there are far too many people in need of their help.

Someone this far gone needs friends, and it's one hell of a job. Look past the conspiracies, and look into the person who needs a friend who looks past the illness.

Still find this all in the realm of unbelievable. Its possible but still.

Surgeons carry malpractice insurance, they pay it either way. Unless the operation(s) were done in a walk in enviroment or were so small that they could be done in office, then odds are this is pretty deep bs. Since nearly all operations are done in a hospital where a surgeon rents a OR.

For this to have happened, you are needing a conspiracy that would daunt the clinton ones.

Not only would you need a crooked surgeon, assistant surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, hospital admins, phsychiatrists, psyhologists, orderlies, doctors, a nut ward, and well on and on and on.

True she may have had a lawsuit, mistakes often happen and nearly all such cases take years to settle. Yet to enter into the realm of possibility following that story, it would have been pretty big fucking news, talking primetime stories and country wide stories.

Of course it makes sense to believe your friend. However from an objective point of view I'm pretty sceptical.

Sounds like she is trying to cover for the 'lost time' by making up a story. With the amount of demensia in the story and the fact she claims to have been in Arizona, I would guess she was running a meth lab.

Welcome to the BAKER ACT, they can ship anyone anywhere they want........the law sucks. She needs to get in touch with an attorney or have some get a hold of the district attorney to have her moved out of the psych. ward where she presently is.

She's NOT in a psych ward. She's been away from that for years. This happened years ago and she finally won her lawsuit a few years ago. We didn't know about it because we hadn't heard from her for a while.

Lots of people win lawsuits and we don't read or hear about them in the news. Some negotiations have non disclosure as part of the settlement. In this case from what I gather, It was a 3 day ordeal where surgeons and staff fucked up, someone tried to cover it up and failed miserably and she finally got justice, got repaired and has been chillin' ever since.

Bottom line is always have family or friends with you during a hospital visit and make dang sure the hospital knows you're not to be fucked with.

Fucked up story...reminds me of the one of the DR. who purposely fucked his wife up by operating on her and cutting a hole in her bladder so she faced years of other surgeries to try to correct all the damage this psycho did to her....

I threatend my fathers heart surgeon right before he operated... told him if my dad did not come out alive.. neither would he....He laughed at me and told me he wanted my dad to build him a Harley, so he was safe in his hands...:1orglaugh

All I did was typed in ' patient abuses ' into google and now I know WHY she went through so much shit.

Doesn't matter, young/old/male/female there were like 2 million websites listed under the subject of patient abuse and an assload of advocacy groups, attorney general report forms from each state. Every branch of medicine from psychiatry to pediatrics was listed.

How the fuck could we come so far in the past 100 years to still be inundated with shit like this? Something is wrong. Big wrong.
