Maybe you ripped off a copy and karma is getting you back? I'm not sure but I know ComusThumb's creator is a good dude.

You did not set an alternative url for when mySQL fucks up and now your traffic gets redirected......Their not stealing ya traffic You did not set the url ;) big difference ;)

On the flip side...I have done some business with people who have turned out to be real snakes as well. It will be interesting to see how this thing pans out. |

Now Ive been trying really hard to contact him and sort this out but he dosent reply. And the problem is what boneless says it was. Now I know Im no tech guy and I did explian this when I bought the script so I payed a bit extra for set up help. Maybe if I was told this might happen I wouldent jump the gun. Tech guys that just asume us clueless guys should know are the root to these types of problems. |

Taste good? |
It typically happens when your mysql is fucked, when your license key is incorrect or when your server HD is full etc.
But let's forget about the facts, we're at GFY. So: Yes he's stealing your traffic and redirects them to dialers, you're being ripped off! |
bake if ya cant contact tony on icq try contacting nibbi instead....he does know a thing or two bout the script as well. Also did you upgrade to the latest verion of the script? i remember some one else haviong the same prob with the script and tony adviced everybody to upgrade asap and put in an alternative url for sql fuck ups....if you cant reach the both of em then you may contact me through icq (148573096) and ill have a go at it (its worth a shot cause now youre losing traffic anyway) and i do have some other persons in my list that use the script and are really really pleased with it and know the script inside out.

Sorry Mick, I got your message about 2 hours after you sent it.
Corrected the problem asap. it was a sql error, and bad server config, that caused the traffic to go to the default url. For those of you running Comus, option # 5 in settings = where your traffic goes on mysql failure. And make sure it goes to a site other than your own, or you will create a circular loop. I cant keep personal ICQ Support lines open 24/7, but they are open at least 12/7. Things will always go wrong, but I'll always try to give the kind of support I would like someone to give me, personal one on one support, where I go in and fix your problems for you, and even change the script if it isnt doing what you need. As for who I am, my associates, and my business history, I was the founder of HanaHo Games, and sold out in 1998. We built the company on an incontrovertible reputation and dedication to superior quality products and support. Its the same here with Comus. There's a massive investment in our product and reputation, and we're not here to blow that all for some short term gain in some traffic, we're simply here to provide the best we can, and when things go wrong as they sometimes will, we hope to give you nothing less than knock yourself out service and support. And for others using Mysql on high volume sites, make sure you disable persistent connections for mysql and apache. You can also speed any normal PHP/mysql script up by examining the mysql logs and creating custom indexes for the SELECT queries. A little tweaking on phpMysqlAdmin can increase your performance 400% or more. Look it up on google or something. ---- http://comusthumbs.com/ Put us to work for you. |
