In case you missed it...I put a curse on AMP this morning and told him that I hope the wind knocks out his power. 3 minutes after my power cam back on, AMP called me from his cell phone. It seems that his power and home phone lines are down now.

11 hours down.

Fucking storm took out 4 power poles just on my street alone, ripped out several 80 foot coconut trees by the fucking roots, shut down almost all of south Maui. all the roads closed all day, (probly cuz they're blocked with trees) beaches closed, fucking sirens all over the place. Was the strangest shit... 84 degrees, perfect crystal clear blue skies, and the wind from Hell.

Fedex got through with my shipment of toner though.... god bless 'em.

hopefully it will be back to normal by then bro... we're doing a little bit of Round 2 here today with this fucking wind. Lahaina got absolutely DUMPED on yesterday with rain, plus the same winds we had down here. Boat moorings were breaking over at Mala Ramp and Lahaina Harbor, and a bunch of boats were getting blown out to sea.

that storm is last weeks news now... but hey man, that shit was bad. It fucked us up good for a while. Sure it wasn't cold or anything, but it was ripping trees and shit out by the roots man.

we've also had 40 foot surf here last week and this week, and now there is a guy missing. They think he went over to either Honolua or Jaws to video some of the big wave riders and got caught up and swept out.

The huge surf we don't have to worry too much about here, but the winds we do... I saw a mammoth tree ripped out of the ground and it demolished an apartment building... that was last year. And here in Vancouver, we get MAMMOTH trees. The kind you park cars in.

So I know what ya mean there.... I'd still rather deal with it in Hawaii :thumbsup
