TheHun.net: Stats from Yesterday's Gallery Listing
 

I see people asking for stats on gallery listings on TheHun. I finally decided to put together some numbers and post them for ya'all.

Here's the gallery in question. It was listed yesterday:

Here are the stats:

TheHun sent 232,444 uniques to the gallery itself.

3,372 of those uniques clicked through to the site.

5 sales resulted.

So the ratio of vistors to the site to sales is: 1:674


That's not a bad ratio for TGP traffic :thumbsup . Especially to a SOFT-CORE site like Naked College Girls. And the gallery was VERY simply designed. I'm sure something could be done to increase click throughs.

Okay, now you have some real numbers. :thumbsup

To give credit where it's due: that gallery was created by one of my affiliates, not by me.

Ask Kali for some Hun ratios. :)

In that case:

NEWBIES: all reports of sales made off "TheHun" are entirely fabricated. No one every really makes a single sale off thehun. It's just a place we submit our galleries to show off.


TO EVERYONE ELSE: My stats off thehun range from 1:350 to 1:700 for Naked College Girls. I've never had anything lower than 1:700 off simple galleries like the one shown above. And 1:350 is not uncommon.

We're talking "click through" ratios, of course.

I have gotten anywhere from 1:250 to 1:1000 ratios from Hun listings, and I generally get between 2000-3500 clicks to the sponsor.

Basically 5-13 sales per listing has been my range... I have never purchased a top 15 spot though, so the traffic up near the top of the index is probably a lot higher volume and a little higher quality.

This particular affiliate has an agreement with me for just that: sponsor hosted galleries.

Notice that his gallery is hosted by me? He designs it, I host it. After a few weeks to a month I make it into a sponsor hosted gallery. In return he gets a VERY high percentage of sales he makes. And his gallery is only used by him for at least two weeks. That lets me see how the conversions go and which of his galleries I want to use for sponsor hosted galleries.

This guy makes a living from sales to my site. He is exclusive to me. He is not complaining at all. He brags to all his friends about how great a deal he has with me.

That is for galleries also. Dr. B uses my hosted galleries and converts traffic at 1:45. He is one of my better converting affiliates. He sends much less traffic than TheHun of course, but it is VERY good traffic.

Spam.

You benefit from having lurkers at GFY sign up for your program thinking they can get the same ratio. As a result, you get more traffic and overall, your signups increase.

Your so-called "affiliate" (if one exists) loses out from his hard work from YOU inviting competition to compete for the same dollar that he's been working so hard to get.

That is not what the ratios are. Every ratio ever given by any sponsor is based on visitors the the SITE, not to the GALLERY.

Hard work? That seems like a very simple gallery, and if anything, shows that if you have a decent upsell, even you can convert hun traffic

Not too bad.. but there are a few things that could be done to that gallery to maximize the interest. Making the text a more prominent part of the gallery would have definitely increased the clickthroughs... Good, promenant and well-written text is absolutely integral to a high-conversion gallery. The pictures are great sure, but it's the text that hooks them.

That end of gallery thing is a little tacky but I guess it's preference too ;) Adding some of the colors that are used on the sponsor site would probably help as well.. White is simple and nice, but surfers like to see some flow between gallery colors and tour colors.. not sure why but it also increases conversions. I guess people just don' tlike change, or they're more inclined to trust things that look like they belong together.

All in all, not too bad though, man! Congrats :thumbsup

Been on thehun for like 5 times or so, made a total of 1 sale on 5 listings.. content was unique, but gallery just plain sucked dick :)

Hehe, my past 3 galleries listed:


#1 - 207,532 Uniques, 3,927 Clicks, 7 sales = 1:561

#2 - 139,574 Uniques, 1,680 Clicks, 3 sales = 1:560

#3 - 165,224 Uniques, 3,168 Clicks, 13 sales = 1:243

See, so it all depends on The Huns traffic for that day, Your galleries CTR, and the sponsor you are using. The Huns traffic does very well for ratios in my opinion. :)

5 sales even cover the BW charges?

Definitely. I pay less than 40 cents a gig for bandwidth.

That gallery is tiny. The filesize of the photos are small. Bandwidth is covered with 1 sale. I make a profit from 1 sale.

Agreed... i have a listing today that is just not performing well at all... The CTR of the gallery is kicking ass, but its not converting for some reason. Same sponsor that I did 1:250 just last week from the same traffic. :(

ClickCash has been paying me for 1.5 years now and never missed a payment. Every Wednesday the friendly FedEx man brings me my check like clockwork.
