Actually, I read the war was very cheap up to now. They actually did not spend a lot on it.

basschick 11-19-2003 07:57 AM

Naughty - are you serious? we spent an extra 80something BILLION on it beyond initial costs. to help fund it, most elementary schools dropped music and art programs and all sorts of other corners are being cut.

i don't know how 80 billion dollars can be constued as cheap by anyone.

It is an established fact that the United States Federal Government has been dissolved by the Emergency Banking Act, March 9, 1933, 48 Stat. 1, Public Law 89-719; declared by President Roosevelt, being bankrupt and insolvent. HJR 192, 73rd Congress in session June 5, 1933 - Joint Resolution to Suspend the Gold Standard and Abrogate the Gold Clause dissolved the Sovereign Authority of the United States and the official capacities of all United States Governmental Offices, Officers, and Departments, and is further evidence that the United States Federal Government exists today in name only.

Do you think the defense contractors, school teachers, and the elderly hate us that bad? Defense, Education, and Social Security being our biggest expenses.

It's about time our beloved US of A fell into disrepair.. We better hope all our stolen oil can make up the difference.

I am noit familiar with the exact numbers, but I did read that it was cheaper than they thought it would be. Take those scut missiles, they cost a ton but they only used 1 or 2, instead of hundreds. I'm talking actual cost of war, not 'rebuild'.

Big Monkie 11-19-2003 03:07 PM

Dunno where you people are getting this 80 billion stuff. The latest INSTALLMENT was 87 billion, the total so far is roughly 150 billion and its far from finished.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-19-2003 03:11 PM

So...
Where is a good place for an American to immigrate to?

I feel like finding a tiny island somewhere and declaring war on the US so they can win and pay me billions. Who want to go in on it with me?

Scootermuze 11-19-2003 03:48 PM

And.. I believe that ol' Bushy boy said, prior to the war, that Iraq would be rebuilt with money from THEIR oil .. Wonder what happened to that deal...

They have trillions of dollars in oil and we have kids goin to bed hungry in our own country, but Dingleberry would rather send billions over there.. which will probably end up in various pockets as usual..
