Serious question in relation to cp / molestation cases

why do we not hear in the press that much about young girls being molested?

i know its just as bad regardless of the sex of the child but it seems like most news stories relating to child molestors and the likes all relate to young boys.

are girls more aware of whats going on around them do you think to put themselve in that kind of situation to begin with?

sorry just thought of somehting else...

why also does it always seem to be guys that are the accused in cases of this nature too?

i dont recall any recent cases in the media where a chick was accused of this

it just seems odd thats all.

hardly any girls getting molested (not that i would wish it on anyone) and not many women being accused of it.

got a news coverage link then?

my point is, the media portrays cases involving men and boys but not women imho probably because those types of case have a higher shock value perhaps?

you think that 8 year old girls "more aware of whats going on around them do you think to put themselve in that kind of situation to begin with?". children don't know about sex so of course they don't avoid complicated sexual situations.

a girl getting molested by a man is simply not as shocking in our society as a boy getting molested by a man. the news media doesn't find it interesting. there are plenty of cases of little girls molested by men.

i have several friends who were molested by their fathers and by teachers, all at ages under 12. the cases went to court - the men were found guilty in every case, several with iron clad proof. but for one, these cases never made it to the news. in every case, the fathers also received visitation rights, although it was monitored.

imo our news media isn't worried about protecting the boys from molestation but protecting them from homosexuality. otherwise we'd hear more about all the little girls molested as well.
