OSU vs. Michigan Game: Warning and Winners

With this celebrated and overly-advertised weekend coming up for the OSU vs. Michigan game....whose everyone picking?

And testament from last year...

From Personal Experience Last Year In Columbus

Last year I was in Columbus for the game, started boozing around 8am, and continued without pause for the next 16 hours. At 3am, all of sudden ppl yell, "FIRE AND FLIPPED CARS!" Without thinking I ran down with my digital camera and snapped away at the carnage, which I could not even believe.

I ended up snapping about 50 photos of the riots and fires. At one point, I ran down into the street prepared to take a video of the fires. The car was lifted, then fell to the ground again. An individual participating yelled,

"My guy with the camera, come give us a count-down!"

I figured hell why not, this was the 6th car flipped of the eventual 12 flipped on the street. I put my camera in my pocket and counted down, and helped flip the car. Snapped a couple more photos, and walked to the place i was staying.

I woke up the next morning and flipped on the television.

To no avail, the riots were on the news, and the best piece of footage they had was a bystandered taping the video, ZOOMED UP ON MY FACE WHILE I COUNTED DOWN. CNN, ABC, ESPN, NBC....my face was tattoed across national television.

To make a long story short, this is what resulted 2 months later, after some girl ratted me out for $100.00 (still unknown) and I was arrested for 3 felonies (arson, inciting a riot, and criminal damaging of property over $1,000).

FEES:

Kicked out of college ($4,000)
Lawyer and Attorny Fees ($10,000)
Sued by State Farm Insurance
For Price of the Avenger ($4,000)
FINE ($1,000)

So basically, I paid $19,000 for the damn riot, and the 6 seconds I participated. I also spent three nights in jail, and they were so nice they came and got me December 30th, so I spent New Years in Jail.

Since the situation is over, I can now tell the story...and keep in mind this took a full year to finally be over with the legal system.

So heed this warning, don't even be around them if you are in the area of Columbus or Ann Arbor (which I'm sure a few of you are). Wish I would have read this post last year before I went!

I am an OSU student myself, and am of course cheering for the Buckeyes to win. Go Bucks!

This year i'm goign to be cuddled up in a warm blanket and not leaving my house!

Hopefully I'll get to watch the action (game, riots, whatever), completely sober and reminising.
