Kurzweil for piano and strings. The drums are not bad either.

Arousal Design 11-18-2003 03:07 PM

Get the motif.

Why do you need it? If you plan on just making songs, get Reason and a midi controller.

wizz 11-18-2003 03:07 PM

korg :)

Tala 11-18-2003 03:09 PM

I'm trying to get a Roland or a Yamaha for Christmas but it doesn't look like I'll get it this year.

Rolands kick ASS. Korgs rock. Yamahas rule. Take your pick..

Arousal Design 11-18-2003 03:12 PM

Oh and im selling my e6400 Ultra sampler =) .. its got everything you mentioned... and you can add your own sounds.

Yamaha Motif ES8

By far the best synth/keyboard out there.

High Quality 11-19-2003 02:10 AM

Synths are for fags.

Get a piano (all 88 keys, weighted) then get a mod or software midi.

If you go that route you'll have a serious centerpiece for any music studio. I recommend the Yamaha P90 or 120 or the Technics Sx-50.

THe korg triton is another serious consideration as someone else mentioned.

Enjoy paying 3g tho. :)

The Truth Hurts 11-19-2003 02:21 AM

I had a triton for a week.
sent it back cause it was defective.
Never bothered to replace it.
Went almost stictly software based.
My hardware is collecting dust.

Might be time for a tag sale.
