I got an ICQ message today from "detoxed" I never heard of him before with a link to an announcment on GFY and some text saying "new $25 payouts".

I figure it's some bitch ass newbie spamming everyone. So I replied with "thanks for the spam, but I dont make any money with them.".

I'v never heard of any big sponsors that send out ICQs with links to a forum to make an annoucement -- and I got their email announcement anyway. So WTF is this shit!!!

I get a reply with "your an idiot".
This is from the owner of datinggold.com.
- He claimed he was the owner of datinggold, since then he says he's not but he works there. Amazing when a sponsor lies to you just so he can fill better about himself.

I promoted them (untill this afternoon when I removed all their links) on 8 different websites but because it was only $9 per signup I didn't sent too much traffic to it. Hence not making any money. Price got up to $25 now.. whopy fucken do!

So I asked why he called me a "idiot" and he said because I don't make him any money. Then he went on with abusive words and some other shit.

Any sponsors that called an affiliate a "idiot" can go fuck themselfs. One less sponsors to use. FUCK'EM!! :321GFY

I guess you dont know how to read... it was an example. If someone doesnt treat me with respect I am not going to treat them with respect back. Plain and simple. Dont like it dont be an asshole to me and you wont have a problem.

I got the same spam on my icq as well and this is what happened. I asked who he was and he politely told me who he was as well as who I was (an affiliate of Dating Gold). And it was left at that, he didn't call me nasty names for not knowing who he was, he just told me that he was an employee of Dating Gold and that this was about higher payouts.......... not once did he get nasty with me.

Take to heart, I don't and didn't know him and still don't that well, so it isn't like I am defending a friend here, but the guy was very nice to me when I asked who he was.

It's actually not uncommon at all for SOME sponsors to hit their affiliates on ICQ, I have probably 4-5 that do this and some from bigger programs, so it isn't out of line to me at all. They only alert me when there has been an important change, and I respect this because a lot if times I don't have time to check for news on them.

detoxed, thing about the time you would have saved if you have talked nice to Zorgman from the start and told him that you was sorry he consitet it as spam and you would delete him from further icq messages from you.

If he would have nicely asked that may have happened. He still to this minute has not asked not to receive another ICQ.

I know of at least 2 people that don't fuck with Dating Gold because of him and I'm sure there are others.

after over 7 years, we've signed up for more than 50 programs and i've never received an icq update like that from a sponsor. what's more, i have signed up for programs i haven't promoted in years, and i wouldn't like to have them all icqing me.

what's more, just because someone ELSE acts unprofessional doesn't make you look more professional when you call them an idiot.

when there is a misunderstanding and someone takes the time and patience to set it right, that is what i consider professional behavior.
