When starting a paysite is this something that is definately needed or not?

i would like to start off without one if possible and just update my site every couple of days by hand but i see these types of script being mentioned on other board.

If you want to start a big paysite with allot of contet you should use a content manger. If you want to make a small paystie you can update it with the new content by hand.
