Dual Monitor On A Laptop?

Is it possible to have a second monitor hooked up to a laptop computer?

Ive only ever seen them hooked up to desktops but its something that i would like to do if it is possible.

Im about to buy a new machine and have seen a good sony laptop but not sure if i can do that or whether it would be best to buy a desktop?

Yes, you can. And we hook ours up to the TV, too. Pretty cool :)

Most laptops have a video out that you can hook straight into a television. Here is another page about dual monitors with laptops.
