I'm still a role model, says Britney
Britney Spears has defended her raunchy new image and insisted she remains a role model for young girls. The 21-year-old said parents should not be worried if their children want to copy her. "I probably have more older fans than the younger ones but I think the reason why everyone talks about the younger fans so much is because the parents are concerned. "And in the end they shouldn't be concerned because they should trust their kids and believe in their kids. I think it's a beautiful thing to be able to see your kids play around and, you know, not take it so seriously. It's about performance. It's not that deep." She added: "I've just recently done some covers that are a little bit explicit and sexy. And a lot of people do think this is very over-explicit, but that's their opinion. If they want to misconstrue what I'm trying to present myself as, then that's their problem. I think it's a positive thing to be able to express yourself in a positive light." The American singer also said she viewed Madonna as her "godmother". The two pop divas kissed at the MTV Video Music Awards and got steamy in the video for Britney's single Me Against The Music. But she said: "I don't think it's a flirtation. I think honestly there's some kind of energy thing going on with us. She's like my godmother in a way. I don't listen to that many people, I'm a very stubborn person. When someone tells me not to do something, I do it, that's just my rebellious nature. "I'm not a wild child but I do have those parts about me and she is the one person that I honestly listen to. There's something about her that draws me in in... she is a very cool lady and an inspiring person to be around." The American star has been criticised for drinking and smoking in public. But she said: "If you go out and have red wine with your dinner it's like, 'oh my gosh, she's drinking, Britney was caught smoking'. You know, people have to realise you're human just like anyone else and people have to give you a break a little." http://www.ananova.com/entertainment...sm_838925.html |

BAHAHAHAHA sorry, had to get that outta my system. :winkwink: |
Yes a great role model for under age sluts.
She will say anything to get her name in print. Just like me. :1orglaugh |
I enjoy the new fake slut Britney more then the young princess cock teasing walking snatch she use to be.
|
I'm so sick of hearing her name. Not because I am jealous, but because it's getting redundant.
I'd like to see what she would look like, without a tan, personal trainers, make up, dyed hair, hair extensions, cosmetic dentistry and breast implants that she couldn't even admit to getting. She is starting to look nothing like she originally did on her first CD cover. Anyone can morph into what she is with enough time and money... the music industry molded her into an image, not a performer. :2 cents: |
she's ugly and fat.

That should just about cover it. |
Catering to the pre-teen / teen audience is the biggest mistake an artist can make. Tastes move at the speed of light and the fans have moved on.
Look at the Spice Girls. Once upon a time they were everywhere on everything and all over the place. Today they are all washed up and hung out to dry. Britney's time in the limelight is over. This is probably the last album you will see from her outside MAYBE a live DVD / CD set which is usually used to fulfill a contract. Best thing for her to do is invest well, set up her own label for herself along with some new jacks and just enjoy the limelight that way. Then in 5 years do the comeback with the playboy spread ;) |
WHO GIVES A FUCK?

dont like the whole Britney-slut idea...just doesnt fit her age and previous image...

I remember reading something last year about Posh Spice and David Beckham. At that point even though he is a highly talented footballer, was in just about tv advert at the time and had two books out she was still worth more in terms of finances. The money from the far east (read: Japan) still rolls in and the money they all made for a few years of work is till more than his on going pay. |
yeah, Britney is a role model - for bone huffing skank hoochie momma's who commit adultery
tell that piece of trash to shut her yap want a role model for your daughter - show em the Olsen Twins, or some of the kid show clones they play on Disney/whatever after school |
