download the latest version .. that usually gets rid of important stuff.

There is a way to go through your list usually in the "C:\Program Files\Icq\Contact List" directory, find the latest list, edit it, remove your current list by using the program, then import the first edited list to update it.

you dont want to delete me from your list do you? :(

I don't know if the newer versions still will do it, but I used to make a group and drag the ones I wanted to cut to it. Then delete that group as a whole. ;-)
