I'm about to get one for free, but I was woundering if I need to buy a new Mini CD each time I make a video or this shit is rewritable after I transfer the video on my PC?

gl2 doesnt take mini cd. it takes dv tapes

I meant Mini DV

so I can overwrite those tapes no problem then?

Yes, you can use them over and over again without any problems. Most people don't however because there may be some image degradation after the first few times. For average use you shouldn't have a problem. Try to stick to one brand.

There was a guy that sold Panasonic Mini DV tapes on eBay really, really cheap. I bought a shitload from him and it saved me a ton of money. Might want to check there and see what you can find.
