While I think it's a great marketing move for ADS, I strongly don't agree with the random signatures of ADS. I do not want it to appear that I am endorsing ARS/ADS under any circumstances.

Site sponsorship is no new stroke of genius... its been happening since the earliest days of the web. This just takes it to an eye-seering member-alienating level.

Jim: sure is it a great idea in terms of marketing. I agree 100%.
however, in my opinion it's a little bit too much. Not because I'm pissed of seeing flying saucers everywhere, I don't care at all. The problem is that I don't think that the other sponsors are very happy about this.

I requested pricing for advertsing on GFY a while back. The top banner is quite expensive and I don't feel comfortable paying so much money for a banner spot on a site that promotes a company left and right and in the front and in the back and simply EVERYWHERE!

there are some borders for advertising. it simply has to stop somewhere.
hehe... imagine watching a porn flick and right before the cumshot an advertsing would be displayed "The following cumshot is sponsored by..."

It's Lens' board. He can do what he wants with it. But in my opinion this is, for several reasons" a little bit too aggressive

from a marketing angle, very smart. personally having a sponsor be in my face doesn't make me want to advertise them. i prefer a sponsor to be somewhat low profile if possible. i also wonder how other programs who paid good money for banners up top feel about it. smart move money wise, i just can't help but feel like gfy has been violated to some extent.
