Oh Fuckin BLISS!

those of you who are working on the Atkins diet take note: I have found a chocolate that's actually as good as any chocolate candy out there, and it has only 3-4 carbs in an entire bar. I am am ecstatic!

Ross Chocolates out of Bellingham, Washington has made these. They are incredible! I'm looking for a URL now. TRY THESE THINGS!!!

They are also diabetic friendly. Fabulous tuff. I'm giddy with joy!

Just buy yourselves a few sampler packs. Seriously. Matter of fact, buy me one, too. ::)

LadyMischief 11-14-2003 03:46 PM

Congrats Tala! Nice to see you found something you can enjoy, sweetie :)

Ross 11-14-2003 03:47 PM

How are you doing on the Atkins Diet?? I know someone who done it and lost a lot of weight. He doesn't look as healthy as he did tho....

Murderous 11-14-2003 03:48 PM

Are you out of your mind?

carbs or not... Snickers ROCKS!!!

Besides, no need to worry about your weight, etc.
If you like something, enjoy it. Don't give a fuck what others think, if they don't like who you are, they aren't worth knowing...

I say FUCK em... FUCK em all!

PersianKitty 11-14-2003 03:49 PM

There are two new stores in the Seattle area that sell nothing by low carb foods.

I'm still going through induction, which is the hardest part. But I'm doing better and have lost 10 pounds in as many days.

Once induction is done (Wednesday), I can begin adding carbs back to my diet until I no longer am losing weight. Once I stop losing weight, I back up a couple of notches and stay there until the weight is gone.

Atkins is not for everyone, guaranteed. Some people are afraid that it isn't good for them, while others just can't for some reason lose weight on it. But it works for me and I feel really good, and that's what matters.

Besides, I wanna wear cute clothes, too, dammit.

Kick ass. I'm going to go back to the area sometime next year.

Wish they'd open up a LC shop here in TN.

Ross 11-14-2003 03:55 PM

Good on ya Tala. By looking at me you wouldn't say I looked fat at all. I could be doing with losing a bit of weight, maybe 15 pounds or so.

Thing is I don't know much about diets, I've always ate what I want and when I want. I am too lazy to exercise other than play football (soccer) for 3 hours per week.

If I knew anything about diets I would probably try it out, I might ask my mate who done it, if I could lose 15 pounds in as many days that would be sweet.....

SleazeQueen 11-14-2003 03:56 PM

Good tip! I'll have to get some of those.

Where are those stores, Persian Kitty? I'd like to check one out. All I've got is the "Atkins" section of my local grocery.

I found a guy last year at the Blackberry Festival out of Bremerton that sells sugar free berry syrups. He's in Sequim, but he goes to Kingston for the Farmer's Market on weekends through October. He's got all kinds of flavors -raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, etc. made with malitol. I don't have a carb count for them, but they never make my sugar spike and they taste so much better than those awful things they sell at the grocery.

You have to go out and buy Orville Redenbacher's Drizzlers. Its gourmet popcorn dripped in chocolate. Its so delicious, you'll be addicted after one bite.

I LOVE the Pure Delite chocolate. SO good. And they have sugar-free (low carb) Hershey's and Reeces now! w00t! And OMG Klondike has these low-carb fudge ice cream bars out called Carb Smart. MMMMM

Rictor 11-14-2003 04:00 PM

One of the foods I hate most on earth is chocolate. It's definitely a girl food.

Easy do. Induction lets you have no more than 20 carbs a day for 2 weeks. Drink lots of water. check out www.lowcarbfriends.com for LOTS fo info and recipes.

ACK! KRL, I love you, but that would absolutely kill my diet. :(

Tootie: Be aware that just because it's SF doesn't mean it's okay on Atkins. Gotta do a carb check before I can eat it, and for some reason, most of the low-carb candy and stuff has a wierd aftertaste that kills my desire for any of it.

These have no aftertaste!! I can hardly believe it. Beligian chocolate that's sugarfree with no nasty aftertaste...w00t!

Thanks PK! I know the Kirkland area pretty well, I'll have to stop by there when I'm in town. :)

Tala 11-14-2003 04:12 PM

Hahahahahahahahaha!!

This is what I'm telling everyone I want for Yule.

http://www.greenleafhealth.com/prodd...prod=V01050011

dark, orange, raspberry, and mint. :)

See if they ask me again what I want, LOL!

EZRhino 11-14-2003 04:13 PM

Fuck diets just eat right

Ross 11-14-2003 04:14 PM

I'm talking to my friend about it now. Its sounding like a good thing

If I do Atkins and Cardio training I would burn fat and loose weight but obviously still be healthy!

I think it's a very good thing, and it's teaching me how to eat right again. I get discouraged easily and am very self-conscious about my weight, so this was a wonderful thing for me.

Read everything you can about it first, though. Make sure this is something you want to do. :)

Indeed. My mate was really into it, lost about 30 pounds possibly more. He has books and shit and is giving me advice on it

Sounds ok, I mostly eat chicken anyway so add some Veg and I'm there basically! With a bit of swimming and bike work I could be ok

Does Godiva sell chocolates that are under 4 carbs per bar and still taste delicious?
