Converting .vob files to .wmv ?
 

I have always worked with .mpg and .avi and I am looking to expand my scope to .wmv

Do any of you guys know how to take a raw .vob file that is extracted directly from a DVD and make it into a wmv?

I am under the impression it can't be done.

I have done a little research and it seems the only way to do this is to split the video and audio from the .vob file using DVD2AVI and then create an .avi file. Then convert that .avi to .wmv using EO-Video or other converting programs.

Any insight on this topic would really be nice!

Vegas can read ripped vob files and convert them directly to wmv, rm, mov etc. just as you like
