ldinternet 11-13-2003 06:27 PM

Lancashire cheese. NOTHING beats Lancashire cheese, especially the stuff they sell at Morrisons. Wensleydale is an alternative...

Kraft Philadelphia cheese on Warbutron crumpets is always good. Any time of day or night.

I'm referring to crumbly Lancashire, btw.

debbieN 11-13-2003 06:29 PM

what is fun is to take two day old french bread and cut it through the center.

then take a whole stick of butter and melt it with a shit load of garlic. put it on the french bread and then put all your Brie on it. wrap it in foil and bake it at 400 for ten minutes..

cut and enjoy.

the power of cheese

Pepperjack, the hotter the better.

debbieN 11-13-2003 10:09 PM

with that cash what cheese would you buy?

phogirl69 11-13-2003 10:10 PM

The best cheese is Brie.
I love Brie, I can eat a whole stick of Brie all by itself with NO bread, just as a snack. I am addicted to Brie.

There is anothr Cheese I love, but I think they only sell it in Holland. It is
"spreadable cheese" almost liquidy, but it comes in a golden SQUARE box. If any of you Dutch webmasters know what it's called please give me the name. I last ate it over 10 yrs ago so i'm not sure it still exists. What is this cheese called?????

frankfortuna 11-13-2003 10:13 PM

A nice havarti, but only in moderation.

Yes, moderation definitely. That havarti can really sit like cement in your bowels if you jowel down too much of it.

debbieN 11-13-2003 10:59 PM

English Stilton extra green.

or anything that your kids would puke just looking at it.

Plan9 11-14-2003 02:30 AM

This Cheese produced at Washington State University...Cougar Gold. Its a supar sharp cheese aged about one year are so. Its delicious. Usually end up buying 2-3 cans a year.

Baal 11-14-2003 03:45 AM

For everyday snacking: pepperjack on top of a vegetable flavored triscut. Not gourmet by any means, but it's damn tasty! Oh, and a good sharp cheddar works too.

For eating with one pinky raised, brie on a melba toast wafer. A great combination!

And for salads, a decent blue cheese dressing with LOTS of fresh blue cheese crumbled on top. I hated blue cheese dressing until I had it with crumbled blue cheese... now it's my favorite dressing as long as it has the real cheese on top.

Reak 11-14-2003 03:48 AM

old cheese

phogirl69 11-14-2003 04:10 AM

This thread is making me hungry, I LOVE cheese A LOT. I can't wait to try crumbled blue cheese on salad, and brie on crackers! I am so freakin hungry and I have no damn cheese in the house! It's 3 am so it's too late for me to go buy some cheese right now. I want some cheese so bad :(

I'm going to try some new cheeses next time I go shopping since I usually only eat Brie and Swiss, and American cheese.
But some of the stuff you guys mentioned are too exotic/gourmet, I just buy whatevers at the grocery store.

Furious_Female 11-14-2003 04:29 AM

Swiss cheese. And it has to have holes in it :thumbsup

I love all cheeses... great stuff :)

lagwagon 11-14-2003 04:32 AM
