porntracker is an apache module that lets you track your porn. each and every image downloaded from your site is tagged with the username and ip address of the downloader.

when your porn appears on other people's sites, you know exactly who to blame.

It says it burn less then 0.1% cpu usage. I'm assuming thats per image, so if Im already wasting a 10mbit line in bandwidth, its safe to say my cpu will be maxed out tagging all the images? sounds like a great deal! what the hell am i supposed to do with tracked images. Theres no way to prosecute.

"no i didnt, my computer was stolen"

Lame.

no. it means that if your server uses 50% of its cpu during normal usage, then with porntracker it'll use 50.05%.


if that were true, then the RIAA wouldn't be able to sue music downloaders. and yet they do, don't they?

That is a great tool, until someone resizes the picture, then the info is lost.

yeah - because we all know those guys on p2p networks make a point of resizing their photos before they upload.

geez. you guys are such asswipes. fine. tomorrow i'll put-in a resize/crop resistant watermark. i'm sure you'll be the first to pony-up the cash to buy it.

Let us know when you get this issue resolved. I would suggest posting it in the regular forum next time as you will get more feedback there and more webmasterrs will see it, which is your goal no doubt.

after a night of tedious hacking - i have a working prototype of "porntracker PRO" - which using standard watermarking techniques to encode tracking information into the image data, itself.

i was able to crop/resize an image by 50% before the tracking data was lost.
