Have plane tickets gone up?
I'm trying to get some tickets to go visit the family over Christmas. December 23rd-30th from San Diego to Dubuque, IA by way of Chicago. The past 2 Christmas seasons I've picked them up for $300-500, and throughout the year they're usually around $300-400. Now all I'm finding is $700. I won't be too happy if I have to spend $700 on this damn ticket.
Have prices gone up? Or am I just getting shit luck as usual? |
hrmmm have u tried cheaptickets.com ?
|
I hope they haven't.. I haven't checked in awhile though
:winkwink: |
They are cheaper to all of the places I usually fly to. I never find better deals than on orbitz.com (usually half the price of Expedia).

its christmas. anything within a week before or after it has inflated pricing.

not sure maybe its the time of yeatr but certainly seems so.
I priced tickets for me and my girl to hit Amsterdam, and it was 5700 bucks before any fees, and those were the shit layover tickets. the good flights were close to 7k + |
Not sure. I know if you book waaaaaaay in advance that you can get good deals.
My husband and I are going to Berkely for Thanksgiving and paid $400 each from Tennessee to CA. Priced a roundtrip ticket for my husband to go to Germany (ugh, I'm going to have to save for this trip, but anything to further his education and get him out of the house!!) this summer: $616 roundtrip. Pricing my roundtrip ticket to Seattle for next summer was $430 Christ. |
the prices fluctuate so much... It seems buying them way in advance is not the best deal anymore..
I buy my daughters ticket twice a year and Orlando to Seattle roundtrip fluctuates between $200 and $800.. i just nab it when its the cheapest i see it.. good luck :) |
