ryanair or easyjet. I rarely pay more than $30+taxes each way to anywhere in Europe with them. Often manage to get the tickets for under $10 each way :)

Ryanair.com is right now the cheapest airline on earth, but still their flight equipment is a lot newer then the one of the old, established companies. And at the same time they are the most profitable airline world wide right now, which should leave them some money to re-invest into security.

Besides that, if a plane of one of the major companies falls from the sky, people will forget about it after a few month, and start flying with that company again. If only one plane of a cheap airline ever falls from the sky, that means that that company is out of business for ever in that very moment (and most other cheap airlines probably too).

I donīt know, if it is better to fly with one of the major companies in a brand new business class seat in a 30 year old plane, or to fly tourist class with one of the new small companies that have brandnew planes. What do you think?

believe it or not i've been getting cheap flights from united airlines, but i also travel on off days and i don't mind making 1 stop
