Modeling question
What do you usually pay models for a shoot? Just out of curiosity.
|
I hear some guys pay $30-50 an hour.
Depends on what you're shooting and WHO you're shooting. If you get your mom to do it you may get a discount. |

Come to an understanding with a model that you will be paying he/she a flat fee for '2-3' or '3-4' hours of work.
I found that is worked best. Paying them by the hour only makes them work slower (for more pay of course) and puts the photographer in hurry mode. If you treat your models well and they have fun working for you - they'll go the extra mile for you if you want an extra set or two - without any extra monies out of your pocket. |
50 to 200$ - 5 to 10 sets - solo girl, softcore
|
We pay (roughly) $100 per hour for softcore.
|
its gotten very expensive these days
|
$500 per day for solo
$800 per scene for hardcore ( ie boy/girl) Cindy xxx |
So if you where gonna Shoot a Girl, solo, how many Pics are normally in a set or per package?
|
its cheaper in canada but normally
per girl:: $100 - $200 photo shoot - watch out for strippers with attitude. I hated working with them and never again. |

Which is why I was insulted when a content provider who should an does know what quality girls cost expected us to hire a girl for $600 for b/g, g/g and solo vids. $1200 MINIMUM for that and many girls would demand more, depending on how busy they are. |
I've done 2-hour test shoots for $50, but that's nothing special in terms of set-up or quality...just a chance to see how the model will work before committing more time and money. The pics are still marketable as home-grown or amateur.
I'm shooting a seriously bad-ass girl, tomorrow for $50/hour, plus another $150 for a hotel jacuzzi suite. I don't worry too much about #pics/set as long as there's enough to capture what I'm trying to accomplish. I generally just try to tell the story and get good shots. 75 seems to be a good average, and I've known other photographers who adamantly stick with that number exactly. I've personally done 21-163 pics/set. There's really no "set" rule. |
