The Loews is pretty nice. There are a few dodgey ones there, so good idea asking around.:thumbsup

Depends on what you're looking for and how much you want to spend :)

Of course, the Delano is beautiful... and expensive. I prefer to just go there for sushi and drinks at night.

A friend of mine owns The President and The Penguin (one is on 14th and Collins and the other is 14th and Ocean Drive). They are fairly small, but clean and great location.

Love South Beach!!!

Cheers!

The Loews is VERY expensive...

I think that their shit rooms start at like 280 per night.

The best thing to do is just go down and then find a hotle when you get there...

There are plenty.

The Mandarin Oriental is the hot hotel of the moment. If you can't do that then I would reccommend the Mercury for hip solitude slightly away from all the craziness of the main Ocean Drive drag since it's at the very beginning of Ocean on 2nd or Casa Grande right in the middle of it. Both of those hotels are very nice and give you suites for the same cost as a regular room.
