SEO Questions For Google Savvy People

Hey guys,

Questions for some of the smarter of you guys out there.

(1) It is better to have your domain to have your site indexed as http://domain.com or http://www.domain.com ?????

Presumably because the majority of sites have www. you will rank better for the keywords in your domain if you *dont* have www. in the url because your keywords come first. Does this make sense and am I wrong?

(2) Does a listing in DMOZ majorly impact your placement at the front of a popular keyword?

Ive notice that maybe 80 - 90% of those listed at the start of a popular listing seem to have been listed in DMOZ and therefore listed in the Google directory.

(3) How on earth does Google decide which sites should show up in "similar pages" link?

OK so chew on that!

Adjektiv: www since most of the people will link to you as www.domain.com. If you use Google toolbar you will see that domain.com usually has lower PR than www.domain.com.

Adjektiv: If you are listed in Dmoz then your site probably does not suck too bad, so Google will be more likely to give it more importance.

Adjektiv: I don't know.
