Should I buy an xBox ?

The NBA and football titles are good. I like the XBox' graphics better than PS2

Right @ this point in time Xbox shits all over PS2 hardware wise, were as you have more of a game select @ the moment on PS2, my :2 cents: is that PS2 is better only because they have been producing gaming consoles alot longer then microsoft, even thou xbox has a better processor and has a hard drive. its upto you buddie:BangBang:

Controllers don't feel cheap.
You can play DVD's without spending another 100 bucks for an "adapter".

The list goes on, however I think that the XBOX has better sports games, in case you're into that.

I have an Xbox, my bro has a PS2 and my girlfriend has a Gamecube.

Personally, of the games I've played, I prefer the gamecube and the xbox to the PS2

They price the consoles low so that they can get them into the hands of people who will then buy the games. Microsoft lost upwards of $200 per unit when they first launched. They take this hit because they can easily make up for it with software sales.

XBox DVD adaptor doesn't cost $100...it's $20.

Brute Force
Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic

And the XBox is getting the new CounterStrike. PS2 isn't.

i have a ps2 xbox and gamecube.the gamecube gets played when the kids come over.my ps2 gets played every night.my xbox is nothing more to me then a big paper weight.

Check it out. Looks pretty sweet. It's a completely new version of CS. You'll use the controller, but I'm sure at some point there will be a mouse and keyboard as well...if there isn't already.

I mean, I can network with my computer and move over the Xbox Divx Movies, Mp3s, etc... also, I can play all my Nes/Snes/Sega/NeoGeo etc... Roms over there on the console...

it totally kicks ass for that...

Yes these are GREAT!

Install a 180GB HD into a modded Xbox and you have Emulators, a Dvd Player, Every single NES, SEGA, SNES and other console games ever created, mind you there is a slight lag to them from the emulato.

You can than also save/burn xbox games to your HD, so when you can just rent them and about 90% of the games copy over perfectly without any problems, some need some tweaks.

You can buy them fully modded with every single old console game on them and ever some new ones, my friend bought his he already has some new games like the Simpson's hit and run.

They sell them pre-done out in places like Alhambra, CA.. etc..

without a doubt, get an xbox!

Hey magnatique -- do you have any good info sites for xbox mods that spell it out in plain english about the mods, what they do, etc??

I picked up an XBox at our local Sam's Club -- open box buy with 2 controllers, DVD remote, and 2 games for $99. I couldn't pass that deal up -- even though the games are shit games they gave with the system.

But I would love to mod it to play MAME or other emulators. Just don't have the know-how yet :)
