intelligent graphics software

this sounds lame but i'm just buzzed enough to ask...

is there any kind of software that is intelligent enough to rotate images based on orientation? i have about 50k images i need to edit, and it would save me a lot of time if the images were at least rotated properly when i bring them into photoshop.

people claim to have software that will detect cp, so why not software to detect light direction, orientation, etc...

I would say no... I've certainly never seen/heard of such software

Sounds like a custom programming job.... try www.scriptlance.com for cheap programmers.

i always wondered why cameras dont do that. why not auto rotate pics that are taken with the camera held vertically. seems simple enuf. :)
