And I am getting tired of these wankers saying things like "Yeah well I didn't ask them to go fight for me."

No you didn't. But I will tell you one thing. Your life would not be anything NEAR what it is today if it were not for the brave men and women who fought for our freedom 50+ years ago. Life would be a fuck of a lot different. You would have limits to everything under a Nazi rule. I doubt the grip of the fist would have loosened even up to today. Yes there would have been rebellions. But the Axis would have steamrolled over the world if not for the valiant efforts of the allied forces.

I appreciate what those folks did for the future generations - and I will never take my freedom for granted.

Next time someone says "Oh, well that was THEIR choice to die." you have my permission to slap them up their ignorant head.

Brad...I will slap everyone of them. The crazy thing about all of it is that I cannot possibly imagine WWII...but half of my friends grandparents (including mine) were right there.

And the very reason that we grow up not worrying about something like that is because they did it for us.

If you honestly believe that America would be under Nazi rule if the US hadn't gotten involved in WWII, you are either delusional or ignorant. Hitler didn't want a European war in the first place. If you can provide a single document showing that Germany wanted to take over America, please provide some proof.
