Manual "chat bots"

Assuming you have gobs of cheap labor, would this be worth it.
Of course, it would be assisted with automated logic trees, cut and paste apps, etc but definitely a real person manipulating the convo.

Better than a bot in terms of conversion? Or should bots handle the filtering of the chat targets then have the human/bot hybrid handle the convo?

Pls discuss :)

Don't Hate.... APPRECIATE!

But really, what do you guys think of "manual" chatbots?

I know there's quite a few people here using chatbots. The trillian stuff must get old. plus converting at 1:1000000000 must get tedious, no?:winkwink:

keyDet79 11-10-2003 07:47 AM

You are right, I should set up a few bots to do live chat/support.

The AI engine ALICE is good. There's still lots of people on IRC, problem is they get desensitized quickly to the "wanna see my webcam" crap.

No. But doesn't it scare you that your labor is so cheap elsewhere? Maybe the real question should be--Are webmasters prepared to focus time and capital on the REAL work--creating new concepts that will advance this industry forward INSTEAD of wringing every last cent from labor-intensive chores that could easily be replicated with cheap labor.:2 cents:

No hating whatsoever (yet) :) I am merely suspecting that an anon GFY member with 125 posts in his first 24/hours who is selling labor for $2/hour and who has repeatedly declined to offer any details regarding his business or true identity may be up to no good.

But maybe I'm leaping to conclusions? :glugglug

What chat rooms do you plan on spamming? :1orglaugh

My name is Gene.

Based in LA but operations are in Philippines and India.

Am not affiliated with any of the existing outsource guys out there (AOS, MXS, XXXoutsourcing, Russiasource, etc etc} or similar "rent a webmaster" schemes.

We do offer real targetted value instead of wasting your money TRAINING "your" webmaster. etc etc. By the time you TRAIN your webmaster, he's already doubling up on other clients. Im not saying other outsource outfits do this, but this happens quite a bit ... especially with 100 to 200 USD a month contract temporary employees.

Im not someone's alter ego. I've just been lurking a long time and am glad to contribute to the convos here.

My prices are closer to what I actually pay my crew so I pass the savings on to the customer. I train my workers, so you don't have to.

If you are paying more than $2 per hour of labor for outsourced work (320 USD a month) you are probably paying too much.

Enough details for you?

The details are slooooowly improving, but if you want to get some business, you might like to consider spamming a little less aggressively and putting-up a decent website which includes some specific details about the services you're offering and your true identity, eg the contact details for a legitimate person and/or company. Presently you look like just another scammer or GFY character (no hate implied or intended) :glugglug

Yeah, I saw that this was an old thread before I posted. For a while I didnt mind the klikrev whores because I didnt notice them. Now that I do notice them, I do find them annoying, but I still think $5 Submissions is smart for capitalizing on this market.
