Mainstream design pricing

Designers, what do you generally charge for a logo design or corp ID package? If you were aproached by a group the does things like snowboard designs, what would you charge and what types of terms? (work for hire, % recurring on units sold, etc)

My wife and I had an offer to do some artwork for some folks, but have no idea what to charge.

thx

% of units if you can get it. Most of these are usually WFH. Charge regular design house prices for offline designs/concepts. Depends on their product line and likelihood of coming back.

Check out this site. It has tons of resources for designers including pricing guides.

There is a yearly membership fee but its worth it.

Mainstream is a lot more competative than adult - and adult is pretty cuthtroat at times. Be careful not to overquote or they will go with someone else.

Well, there's cutthroat and then there's stupid. Some of the rates for adult work I've seen around here at times are a travesty. Script folks as well, some of the prices I've seen for custom code are just plain insulting.
