Best free mailing list program

I would like to start a mailing list from some free sites I have, what's the best program free program/site that do that?

I want to be able to customize the join e-mail sent to the subscribers. I'm also looking for something that doesn't have banners or shitty advertising.

And most important, I don't want my subscribers to have their e-mail stolen for spamming....

So, do you guys know any good site where I can find that for free???

Thanks bro, but that's not what I'm looking for right now..... I want to collect e-mails from my visitors so that I can inform them of updates to my sites....

pornguy 11-08-2003 03:37 PM

Mine will allow you to get all kinds of info from them if you want, as well as track the link in each mail.

Drop me an e-mail: tranzap at bol dot com dot br

All I want is a hosted script that will collect the e-mail from my visitors so that I could tell them when I update my sites, is that what you have??

Also, how would YOU profit from helping me out? Don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't like my visitors to be spammed because they've joinned my mailling list....

Madball 11-08-2003 03:38 PM

Mojo will not record date/ip stamps AFAIK thus making the emails worthless for any serious mailing campaign.

Can anybody here recommend an industry level optin mail system? I've looked at acmelist, what else is out there?

Why is that?? Why not recording the date/ip make the emails worthless for a mailing campaign?

pornguy 11-08-2003 03:52 PM

Tranza you have mail...

By the way, mine does record the IP address...

brand0n 11-08-2003 03:54 PM

mojo uses cgi to send email, 90% of your bigger domains (aol, yahoo, hotmail) look for cgi invoked mail and filter it. give it a test to a couple hotmail/aol accounts and you will notice what im talking about

If you are going to be sending traffic to sponsors then you need to be able to prove that people did actually sign up for your mailings, ie. that your list is truly optin, in which case you are better off writing your own script IMHO. If you are just sending a newsletter about updates to your own free site and you are confirming each addy then I doubt you'd have to worry about any spam complaints.

Hello peops,

I`d like too a php/MySQL script collecting opt-in emails and logging IPs, (OSs, etc.) with web subscribe/unsubscribe options, notifying owner of each subscribe/unsubscribe, importing, deleting etc. I`m trying to make my script but still cant up it... as i`m new to php programming. The process of sending is important but not so much cause i can do mailing from my mashine.
And no reason for me to get for money a script - the money first needs to be earned.

:feels-hot :feels-hot

Could anyone more advanced help me? Will be very high appreciated with any help i can do for you.
Thanks.

P.S. I can host the script.
