anyone in SD know a good place online to find rentals? doesnt have to be an apartment complex, just something downtown or hillcrest type area

Hillcrest is only about 5-10 minutes from Pacific Beach. I wouldn't live downtown though, you can't get a garage for your car downtown :)

I'll put it this way... downtown you can get a 10x10 room with a bathroom for about $750/month. In Pacific Beach you can get a full-sized one bedroom (about 850-1000sq/ft) for under $995/month. You don't want to live downtown, trust me :)

Or... you could move to Florida, get a 900 sq/ft apartment on the beach for $400/mo with utilities :)

I just moved into a decent size 2 bd rm condo on Sail Bay in Pacific Beach ... 1 step from the sand ... 2k per month.

Spectacular views, great location, bars, resturaunts, and all kinds of action just blocks away. Mission Beach is in walking distance right up Pacific Beach Drive :)

There are ALL KINDS of rentals down here! All the people that moved down for the summer have left, and there are a ton of "for rent" signs all over the place!

i live in North Park ... about 5 minutes from downtown and next to Hillcrest... rent is totally affordable here. (You might get a yard and a garage and parking) when are you looking to move and what do you want to pay? talk to me on icq :)

You'd think alot of that rental property would start getting snapped up as insurance companies start moving people from hotels - motels into places until their houses are done. I don't think I have ever seen a total for losses or really damaged homes for just SD tho.
