What is the best Cellular Telephone Service ?
Does anyone know what would be the best telephone cellular service to have while traveling in the US.
Can you hear me now !!
Verizon |
ATT seems juicy , at the start they had probs but been rock solid for the last year and such
at@t or verizon
For calling and receiving long distance ?
Verizon or Cingular
At&t TDMA service is absolutely the best. Not even Verizon beats it...
So is it AT&T or verizon..... I just need one !
I live in California and travel all over the place. I have had verizon, cingular and sprint. Sprint gets by far the best service nation-wide. Some phones might work better in certain areas, but sprint is best overall.
We have had sprint for 4+ years and i wont go with anyone else they dont fuck ya on the bills and they have the best nationwide i have ever used. I had great reception just about anywhere I go:)
Yeah, sprint owns.
AT&T for travelling! :)
I like Jesus Cell.
I have had both AT&T and Verizon. Verizon is MUCH better!
:thumbsup
Sprint is horrible. I switched to Verizon it's 10X better.
search gfy for my post on Verizon and their express network.
Verizon is hands down the best deal in the nation if you know which phone to get and how to work the de But warning, AFAIK there is only one phone they offer that will give you this awesome "bonus" :) |
Whatever you do, don't get Sprint. I have never talked to a Sprint customer longer than 5-10 minutes without getting cut off. Not good for relationships either: How ya' supposed to be romantic or even phone sex when you have to yell at the top of your lungs?!? :ak47: :1orglaugh

maybe like the other companies you have to buy the right phone because me and my husband have never had that problem even while traveling.

gigat&t

I think the answer varies significantly in different parts of the US. If you're in fairly central areas of cities with a quarter million or more people, I think all the major companies will work well. Also if you're on the major highways between cities, or at major airports, you should be okay. If those are your main destinations, then I'd base your decision more on price and features.
If you're going to be in smaller towns in the midwest, I've had best signal reception with verizon, although my sprint is digital-only, and maybe their dual-protocol phone would work as well as my verizon. Once you get 10 miles off of a main highway, into a sparsely populated area, service goes to analog, and 20 miles into the sticks you might not get any signal. If you actually live in the sticks, survey people around you about what they have and what sort of signal they get there. |
i had sprint for about 5 years, never had any real problems, and i think you can get a plan that gives you free long distance to canada for an extra $10 a month.
I use SunCam, they are a division of AT&T. I pay a flat rate every month for unlimited calling including long distance. ($49.95 a month)
attws.com - ATT rules.
Been wondering the same lately. From what little research I've done so far, it seems Verizon is good.
