Partied w/ Sean Penn Last Night ...
 

Well, I considered not posting this because I'm sure half of you won't believe me, but I figured fuck it because it's true. Any of my friends that know me on this board or in real life, know it's true.

Went out last night with a friend of mine that's an actor (he's pretty big as well, but his name won't be mentioned). Started off at Ago's in West Hollywood, the restaurant and bar that I think Robert Deniro, Tony Scott and a few others have interest in.

Anybody who hasn't been there, needs to go once. The fucking girls in this place are ALL grade A.

After that, I ended up going to the Chateu Marmont in West Hollywood about midnight with him to arrive at a private party that Sean and his wife Robin had setup for his latest movie Mystic River. The party was pretty small, I would say no more then 30-40 people. But the cast was star studded. After walking in the room, I was amazed to see how small and private this party was. It was truly a "Hollywood A List Party".

Aside from the Penn's, David Spade, Faye Dunaway, Natasha Lyonne (American Pie) and Robin Tunney (The Craft) were all present. I did have a conversation with Natasha Lyonne and was introduced to Sean and his wife. Didn't talk to any of them about anything of real value, so nothing to report on that level. Other actors were there too, but I couldn't figure out what movies I knew them from, just remember I'd seen them in a few of them.

I remember sitting on the balcony thinking about that movie Hurlyburly (one of my favorite movies) and how Sean and his wife were on the balcony at the Chateu Marmont partying. Felt like I was in a movie because of all the stars I was hanging with. I think a few people were looking at me and thinking, who the fuck is this guy? Didn't matter, because if I was there, they thought I was somebody. At least I was for a night anyway.


Was a pretty fun time guys. Wish I had a picture for you guys but in reality, even if I did have a camera with me, I wouldn't have taken a photo because it wouldn't have been appropriate.

i was staying at the Four Seasons in Chicago 4 years ago when Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn were there. I sat in the hot tub with Robin Wright and didn't even know who she was. she looked like shit too. Very pale and skinny.

I went into the locker room to get changed and Sean Penn was walking around naked. it was pretty weird so i didn't say anything to him.

Later on that night we were catching a cab. we ended up getting into the same one He and his wife and kids were getting out of. He was totally cool. we ended up seeing him later and he gave my buddy an autograph. my friend had a broken hand and he told Sean it was from punching someone. LOL i think Sean related and offered to give him an autograph.

Well, now that Tobcisab has dug up this old thread, I may as well reply to you. She is actually still good looking. But she is really spoiled.

I saw her earlier that night at Ago's and right when she walked in, she asked the host if they had salads with a certain type of something in it. It was like she couldn't eat there without it. Was kinda funny.

sadness no paris sighting. ive seen at her at the standard in hollywood. never talked top her thu, but she is damn HOTT!

Dude I believe you...spent 5 years working in Hollywood and was always running into celebrities at stores, on the street etc.

The Chateau Marmont is one of the best places to see the stars...in like 20 minutes time I saw River Phoenix, Keanu Reeves and the Aussie dude from Dead Calm and Jurassic Park.

One of the most bizarre sitings I had ever had was Gary Coleman at that big hobby/model train store on Sepulveda Blvd..Steve Buscemi was there too.

But yeah you see those people everywhere...was even sitting in the vets office one time and got into conversations with Cynthia Gibb and Lori Loughlin.

Hell we even had an Academy Award nominee working as our receptionist...Quinn Cummings.

LA is a bizarre place to live because you just keep meeting all of these people from a fantasy world in real life...lol...but I loved it.

Faye must be something like 70y.old now. One of the most beautiful actresses in the cinema ever. Lady Faye.

You gotta read Bukowski's Hollywood if you haven't already...it's loosely based on the goings on behind the scenes of making the movie Barfly.

One of the funnier things is the arrogant excesses these "stars" demand...Mickey Rourke demands there be a sunglasses scene in all his movies...something about him either putting them on...talking about them etc and Dunaway demands that someone has to make a comment on how beautiful her legs are....and or course if you watch the movie both of those are in there :winkwink:

It's my favorite book of all time...I'm a big Bukowski fan...but that shit is the funniest book I've ever read.

I have never in my life laughed out loud reading a book until I read Hollywood :thumbsup

Oh, I'm an avid Bukowski reader. Think I have just about all of his books and poems. Great Writer. I thought the movie was horriable compared to the book, but isn't that almost always the case with books-to-movies anyway.
