Paycom and on-line checks (shaving?)
I?ve had an on-going problem with a discrepancy between the stats that we keep for webmasters (in terms of the # of sign-ups) and the ones that Paycom (our billing provider) keeps. In a given month we would always show one or two signups more for a few of our webmasters than Paycom. Since the problem seemed to be intermittent I thought it was a technical glitch. I was shocked to find out the true nature of the problem.
After countless hours of working with Paycom I discovered the root of the problem; Paycom doesn?t credit webmasters for transactions when users pay with an on-line check For us these transactions are rare as most people pay with a credit card, less than 1% of our business is from on-line checks, so that?s why the problem seemed intermittent. Needless to say I was a floored to realize that Paycom is basically ripping people off. They are still checking to see how they can fix the problem but it looks like we may have to cut checks manually for these transactions. Does anyone else know anything about this? Recommendations on other billing providers? Thanks. |
Paycom has done this for as long as I have known. If you are just finding out, they probably need to state this to people instead of letting them find out.

Setting the record straight. Again.
Paycom doesn't payout commissions for pay per sign up programs at all. Paycom does pay affiliates whose sponsors use the rev-share model -and- when the sponsor has chosen to use Paycom to make their payments for them. Most programs do not use the Rev-share model any more. (Those good 'ole days are gone it seems and "everyone" now pays the price). In most cases, sponsor programs use their own stats to report sales to affiliates. Programs have the ability to pay out for any sales they choose to. The reporting of recurring sales, for programs using the rev-share model, do not include ACH sales on the affiliate level. There were many reasons for this not the least of which was the high possibility for fraud, especially in the early days. Those of you who've been around long enough know what I'm talking about. I hope this clarify's the matter. |
If I want to give webmasters their rev share 50% in my case, of ACH transactions then I have to cut them a check myself or will Paycom do it at my instruction? In my case, Paycom is already issuing checks to webmasters for credit card transactions.

So therefore, it is up to the program owner to decide what they pay the affiliate for. Most programs will (or at least should) pay for check signups as well as dialer, on top of the credit card signups. It is the affiliates who choose sponsor programs to send their traffic that need to check wether the sponsor pays out on checks and dialers or not. Do some homework before sending traffic blindly to a sponsor. Read the board and threads like this first... So instead of whining about not getting paid for check signups.... GO SIGN UP FOR A PROGRAM THAT PAYS OUT ON CHECK SIGNUPS AS WELL! PS. All MPA2 program owners pay affiliates for check signups. Email me for a list of them so you can choose which program fits the best for your traffic. Btw, I am totally independent on this and will not tell you to go here or there. Just look at the list and make your choice yourself. PPS. Only serious inquiries that includes full contact information. PPPS. Epoch/Paycom has been a valued partner to Mansion Productions and MPA2 for years. PPPPS. So has CCBill and PSW and of course, since we are talking about checks, Electracash and NoCredit cards for dialer. PPPPPPPPPPPPS. Done with the PS's! :2 cents: :thumbsup :2 cents: :thumbsup |
