My brother who is 19 just got a job at AOL paying him $4k per month working full time...I'm curious, how many of you guys here actually make $4k a month, and how many would rather quit the adult biz and take a job like that if it was available to you?

but if you make 400$ a month you still have way more freedom than working for a corporation 9-5

$4,000 isn't that much these days...

4k take home is alot of money these days, thats comparable to my buddy who is a union painter and brings home 1100 and works 40 hours no headaches nothin. Your talkin about 30 bucks an hour. No non-union slug job, 95% of the population can even hope to make per hour

thats alot of money for a 19 year old, lets face it, if you figure that you can't do this job in 10 years from now then its good to get a side job in the industry so you won't loose any experience from what the mainstream companies are doing currently.

Exactly. I'm starting to go back to school although some would say I'm a bit old to be starting college (in my mid 20's) It gets me out of the house and keeps from going nuts staying in front of the pc all day. It's not like I have anything else better to do with my time so I might as wll go all the way and even go to graduate school.

phogirl69... Ignore anyone that says you are too old to go now... I was in my late 30's on my first day of class. Scared to death... sweating bullets... looked around feeling like I was going to throw up, alllll those kids! Then I noticed that there WERE people even older than I was sitting there too.

Poof went the anxiety. Until the first time I raised my hand... the first time I was called on... the first quiz came around... ;-) You get the drift. lol

Don't let the age bother you one bit. I managed to get one engineering degree and have 1-3 classes to take either 2 or 3 more engineering degrees. Why? Because I could. And I did! :D

you are never too old to go back to school! The best thing I have done is get my degree. It doesn't matter to me if I never use it to get a job, I know that I am a better person for it.


On the topic, no I don't make 4k a month. yes, I wish I did but I know for a fact that I don't do the corporate thing very well. More to the point, I don't do communiting very well. I'm a very very hard worker but I can't face the commuting rat run without going insane. So, I would rather be less wealthy but sane.

I've actually taken a break from the 9-5 jobs, and started doing this full time while going to college for the past month, and sales were going pretty good, but recently sales have been down.

I sure wish I made 4k a month.

I have been in this industry for 9 years working in marketing and sales - the difference between this and any other job is the friendships that are made - although some backstabbing - its one big family - one big disfunctional family around christmas time looking for presents from one another and greeting one another with "go Fuck Yourself" ... yup... memories of christmas at home

People making less than $4k a month in this business is doing the wrong thing ..

I only have this is a hobby and don't make less than $8k a month on this alone (spends around 2 hours on porn a day) .. and actually thats good pretty good compared to my fulltime job where I make $6k a month ;)

Why don't I quit my full time job? .. I will .. just want a big savings account first so my ass is safe in any situation there might come up..

btw. I've only been in this business for 1 year and 3 months..
